The word “reconciliation” (กลับคืนดี) is not used very much today.

Dictionary Definition: the ending of conflict or renewing of a friendly relationship between disputing people or groups.  = Peace & access (เราจึงได้เข้า) to God.

However, this word is not used for other religions … why?

Because no other deity (พระ) reconciles mankind.  There is only sacrifices made out of fear.  Man is, in a sense, an enemy of the deity.

Outside of Christ, we are also enemies of God.

Romans 5:10a says that we are God’s enemies.

Romans 5:10a: “For if, when we were God's enemies…

So, how are we reconciled to God? – Answer: Through Jesus!

Romans 5:10b …

Romans 5:10b … we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!” (NIV)

We are reconciled to God through the death of His Son Jesus!

2 Corinthians 5:19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.

Because of our reconciliation through Jesus, God does not hold our sins against us.

Moreover, because of reconciliation, we will be saved for eternity!

And so this is the Gospel message that God wants us to proclaim to others.

This time of communion is a time to repent and confess our sins.

When we repent and confess our sins, it is a way in which we are reconciled to God.

It is also a time of joy (not sadness) because we are now reconciled to God through Jesus.

Thank Him that He has forgiven your sins and reconciled you to Himself.
