Police in Connecticut say they were surprised when a man charged with stealing a television set twenty-seven years ago flew all the way from Florida and turned himself in. When 60-year-old Randy Iannacone heard that there was a warrant for his arrest, he immediately turned himself in. At the police station, police arrested and charged Iannacone with third-degree larceny stemming for the 1989 theft of a television from the place where he worked as a janitor at the time. Iannacone was released with a promise that he would be back to appear in court the following week. When asked about the case, Iannacone had no comment, but Police Lieutenant Paul Resick said he thought it was “pretty cool” that the man had turned himself in.–Jim L. Wilson and Jim Sandell
