Today, on Father's Day, we learn about the heart of the Father by discussing the parable, in Luke 15, of the prodigal son, his father, and his older brother. From this story, we glean that the heart of the Father is His generosity of grace and mercy, and that the true older brother is Jesus, who went out and sought us, His younger brothers, and brought us back to the household of God.
