Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. So I am not kidding when I say I have seven sermons you guys are like what the seven sermon swirling in my head right. Now. I had six arms. At least I was supposed to have one for today that I think I have in my head. I don't know. We'll see but you know, I'm a guy and most of the time like dudes can compartmentalize. Their brain, like a waffle and it's been like okay you put this whole thing here this whole thing here this whole thing here and then do that women are kind of like everything is just like from what I understand explanation. Is it does it sound okay. Okay. Alright this morning. I'm going I don't know. What's what this morning. We just got back from Beach campus students and then wrote the sermon for today yesterday because I procrastinated I know you shouldn't do that. I'm just being honest. I'm confessing so I don't know what you guys are going to get we're going to pray. We're going to ask God to speak not speak and this morning to I don't know what that's all about. I think that slap happy. So we're going to pray we're going to pray and ask God to guide us this morning. I have a father. Thank you for a beautiful morning. Thank you for all the good things that you bless us with all the good things that you do for us got to pray this morning that your voice will be heard and not my voice. I pray that it would be your thoughts are not my thoughts. Lord I pray that you would speak and it wouldn't be me speaking my God. I pray that everything would just come out as you intend it. I thought you would still your words in our hearts and our minds and done. There's something you have for us today. The Lord that we would just hear you. We would apply it Terrell to our lives. I just thank you for everything that you've been doing it Hillandale the way that you're moving forward Lord and God what you have in store for us in the future. I got to sit as I will ship vision and I got to where you're taking us. We're just so thankful for that. I we love you so much. Thanks for letting us with the name of Jesus. We pray amen. All right. Phyllis guy he was walking on the beach. Last week with dude is but he's walking on the beach and it gets struck by lightning struck by lightning and he has his near-death experience has near death experience. He sees the future. He sees the winning NCAA or NCAA basketball champions. 2017 thank you. Sorry, he sees that he's he's the next winning Champs and unfortunately, it's the Louisville Cardinals. The you you would never put your money on the Louisville Cardinals, especially in Kentucky. I mean are they even a basketball team. The Wildcats you and place all of your money on the on the Wildcats with the Louisville Cardinals are going to win the championship and that that that was his vision. That was what he saw in the future and he knows he says he's coming to people are you? Okay, are you? Okay? What did you see? What did you see why I saw the Louisville Cardinals winning the basketball championship is coming here and go back to sleep.

I know really but even though he'd seen this he decided not to put all of his money on the Louisville Cardinals Advance a year from now the Louisville Cardinals win, the guy feels like an idiot because they actually the championship really should have put my money on the Cardinals. I mean the Wildcats win every single time over every other team in existence, but and I bought it for them. I put my money I should have put it on the Cardinals. What the heck so Story one you guys are like I'm getting there struck by lightning. same spot and everything and he he he goes down. He's laying on the ceiling on the stand and he just has listen Vision about a 3.2 billion dollar jackpot. Can I have the winning numbers? Those are the winning numbers? What the heck? I just want to the Future and I saw the winning numbers and he saw himself having everything that he could have ever wanted. Everything was taken care of and he had all the money he wanted all the cars. He wanted all the houses. He wanted all the vacations. He wanted. He had absolutely everything in this vision and he knew it was in the future. He's like future that. That's awesome. You know, this guy comes to though and you know something really stupid. He decides not to play the lottery and wouldn't you know it what do you know it a week later those winning lottery numbers or cast and he could have been a billionaire. Now. What in the world is this story have to do with this Herman or Jesus? Well who does Forrest Gump?

Forrest Gump's mom has some words of wisdom. She says life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're going to get. Well these two idiots knew what they were getting hit and they said no to it stupid is as stupid dies. You all heard that I can tell someone stupid stupid is as stupid does in these guys were just stupid. They could have had it all they had the future ahead of them and they blew it now. He seemed like this really stupid silly stories, but Jesus has paid it all in Jesus has won the Victory and we know the future and we take stupid steps every single day. We make stupid mistakes every single day. We know what's ahead of us and we don't play our cards right even knowing what the future is. And that's the work of the enemy. That's the work of the enemy. So in Ephesians 6:1 about us being in spiritual warfare about who are really battling with and we we make stupid decisions. We make the stupid moves. We don't play into our future. We don't choose the winning team. We don't play the winning lottery numbers come out these two goofballs and I think it's because of spiritual warfare. So for our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the rulers against the authorities against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the Heavenly realms

So Satan's at work in everyone's life whether they like it or not. He's trying to twist and Destroy things. Some people. Some people say has to be on the losing team on his team. He knows he's losing he knows he's going down and he wants to take as many people with him. So he convinces them to be on the losing team, even though the future is clear and we'll get to that in a second. Here's another one of his schemes such as, and what the heck so he knows some people are on the winning team. He hates it when people decided to partner with God and go with God and choose the future that God has so what he does he put all these decoys out. He puts all these trash out kind of like a military if it's all the same story to be distracted by worrying about what to wear or worried about a decision to make or fear. Grayson County Texas with loss or sometimes it's just some random Temptation or sometimes the Temptation is success to be distracted by that. We're about to have an in an ex life that Victory starts now though. We don't get to enjoy that because he has a side tracked even though we're on the winning team and we make that stupid mistake as well for the last couple weeks. We've been tracking with Colossians 3:1 and we're going to throw that out has been talking about speaks to Jesus in our lives going to read this we're going to focus on the word seated today. That's kind of kind of our Focus word since then you have been raised with Christ set your heart on things above were Christ seated at the right hand of God. Jesus is seated at the right hand of God what that means is that Jesus has finished his work. He's completed what he set out to do. He lives his life in such a way that he won. He won the victory the Future is set and secure. We know what the future is. We have to let me know what the future is. We know how to play our cards. He tells us how to play our cards in scripture. He gives us a path to follow to be a part of the winning team the experience all the things that a victory would experience but sometimes we're still like that guy that threw away the lottery ticket winning numbers. We know it. We got it and it's outrageous as it sounds in his dumbass. It sounds why anyone would ever do that we do it. It's like the guy who threw away the winning basketball team never win, by the way, it's always a wildcat just to be clear that's gospel truth.

getting So, where was it?

Okay, got it. So Jesus is paid at all. He has one. He seated at the right hand of the father. Now. What did he finish when he's had a bridal hand of the father? Why did he get to sit down? What was it that he finished in accomplished that allowed him to have a seat by the right hand of God. We found the answer in Hebrews 1:3.

Accurate provided sorry, it had provided purification for sins. He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. Jesus lived his life in such a way that he was a sacrificial lamb. He paid the price he made us right with God. He died for every sin. He died for it every iniquity every evil thing that we've ever done. He lived his life in such a way that he would be able to provide that for us. He completed his mission. He carried out the mission that he had sent him on. Now he's at the right hand of the father in the future is clear. Anyone who's with me? That's what's got anyone who is not with me is not what's got terrible. We know the future Jesus finished his mission. I make a purification for sense. Is that simple if that clear and we live in two that we live in to that mission. We live into being purified by Jesus at the future. So the perfect life that that Jesus lived there. There's this phrase or this this guy his name was Gregory of nausea and see us on YouTube. And it's this it's a say he's a he's a theologian from the 4th century. And I think he really describe who Jesus is what his life was about better than anyone I've ever heard from beginning to end. Sometimes we think Jesus finishing. His mission was just about like the last 3 or 4 days of his life or the crucifixion the resurrection in ascending into heaven, but really all of Jesus life. He surrendered his entire life from beginning to end to make us right with God so that we can have that Victory with them. So this is what the Steelers and says, he began his ministry by being hungry yet. He's the bread of life. Jesus ended his Earthly Ministry by being thirsty that he is living water. Jesus was weary yet. He is our rest Jesus Paid tribute yet he is. Jesus was accused of having a demon yet. He cast out demons Jesus wet yet. He wipe our tears. What's the way our tears? Jesus was sold for 30 pieces of silver got he redeemed the world. Jesus was brought as a lamb to the slaughter that he is the Good Shepherd. Jesus died yet by his death. He destroyed the power of death. That's what we celebrate. Death is no more when you have Jesus that Victory is secure but we walk around playing at the deaths hand every single Days of Our Lives with worry and fear and this until there's a whole list that we don't even have to get into we all know what it is.

Here's how we deal with the darkness. Here's how we deal with Satan's traps. Here's how we put Satan in his place and it's not a spinning saying this flight is God giving Satan into his place. Let me be clear about that. We shine light on the darkness. We we understand some truths. We understand what the victory is. We understand what the winning team is so that were on the winning team and we put our energy and our Focus towards it so that we don't get tripped up by him. So here's the first truth and if you're journaling, you know, write something down write this down Jesus Paid It All. I remember being the kid in school that when they're like picking teams for teamatv. I was always the last kid picked because I was the cuneus I was the smallest ball. Jesus Paid It All with me is no matter who you are. What you've done no matter how worthless you think you are. You're on the team and you're on The A Team you're on the best team. That's Jesus. He paid it all. You don't have to. Sometimes we get distracted by Satan trying to pay for our own sins. You'll have to do that. Jesus Paid It Jesus expects you once you to live in Freedom. He wants you to follow him unhindered on worrying about things not getting caught up in all these things that just take away from you focusing on him the truth one Jesus Paid It all he don't have to but here's the second truth. And this is one that just kind of hit me like a ton of bricks yesterday. Jesus is praying for us right now some Romans. 8:34 Wright 36. Maybe it has those who that is the one who condemns no one Jesus Christ who died more than that who was raised to life is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Jesus is actively praying for us. Yes, he's secure the victory but he still knows we're here and we're having to play the sport of life. We're having to go about life that he is praying for us so that we will be transformed so that we would enjoy the victory This Side of Heaven 2 so that we will be lights in this world. He's praying for us. You know what that means? We don't just get to pray to Jesus if he's actively praying for us. We actually get to pray with Jesus. Jesus is something entirely different to play with a guy who is with you and what we talked about last week. We pray with Jesus and that is such an honor. That's the second truth. Here's the third truth teen death has lost. . Quit getting team death your time and your energy again worry fear things that trip you up things that cause you to stress out about things you shouldn't be stressed out about that has lost it doesn't even have a position in the new Heaven and new earth it lost so bad that they dismantled the team. That's the future. That is amazing.

So don't give it an ounce of your life. Don't give it a step of your life. Focus on the future looks who cries where he is seated in Heavenly rounds. At the right hand of the father that's Colossians 3:1 again. How do we apply this? How do we take this? How do we how do we actually use this? Well a few weeks ago maybe a month ago. I kind of talked to you guys about to be passionate about what Jesus is passionate about passionate about we can be angry about the things that Jesus is angry about going to be sad about the things that Jesus is sad about here's what I know about the victory of these tell you what he's passionate about because I can tell you what he's passionate about. I know what's worth fighting for in this world. Jesus is Passion about One Thing 1 Word people. He's passionate about you. He's passionate about you and you and you and me too. Jesus is passionate about people. He wants to be with him forever. That's why he went to the link that he went to. Jesus came to this Earth because you were worth dying for he didn't do it because there's just something he wanted to do. He came to be with us because you and you and you every one of us in this room were worth dying for him because everyone out there was worth dying for he's passionate about people this fight this battle that were in the spiritual warfare. We might be fighting against evil dark things with the fights about people and the losing team won some Teams have won some.

And then there's team life. There's team Jesus. That's where we're going. So in 1st Corinthians 6:1 for 2nd Corinthians 6:1. Sorry God's grace in vain. You've been given the future. You've been given everything that you need. You've been given Jesus. You've been given the scripture to hear. God speak to you. Do you know what God wants of you? You know what he's passionate about. You have the opportunity to be on the winning team whether you're a baby Christian or you're a mature Christian. There's always a part of the team that you're on and I'll part of the team that you're striving for. So don't receive God's grace in vain. You guys know that you were actually saved to do good works. You want to save so you can make it into heaven? That's not Christ message that's part of it. But you are saved to be good works on this route to be a like here in this world to be the victory here in this world to let people see what it's like to have life.

To see what it's like for people to be healed through rather. So God uses us to help others to rescue others to be there for others to encourage others. We are an image of Heaven in this world. Don't take God's grace in vain don't receive it and vein put it to use

The one thing that stops US every single time the one thing that stops this message every single time is this pain called life who has bills. Who has to pay taxes? Who who Who's ever had a sick family member? Who's ever dealt with a problem you don't want to deal with? do those things distract you from Christ every single time it seems like Adonis following Jesus is a radical call. Following Jesus is a even though I got all the stuff in my life. Here is the Victory and here's what matters I'm going to make every decision of my life based on this Victory. And even though these people think I'm nice and even though they think I'm crazy for doing the things that I do I have not going to receive God's grace in vain. I'm going to be victorious the movie Victoria starting now, Not after I die. I want to be a light in now represent Christ. Now. There's this verse in Matthew Ice Matthew 6:33 medicine when my youth pastor imparted to me. It's one he just kind of instilled and me and it is always spoken to me. It's always your woman throw that up.

Is it hot in there? Okay. Well, it says seek first the kingdom of God and everything else will be taken care of. Everything else will be added to you seek first God's kingdom and everything else will see Jesus first the bells will get taken care of. God will help you out see God first and it's probably your dealing with how to help you out. But seek Him First Look at the victory first. Look at Jesus first. That's what your wife is Jesus. That's how we applied this Victory thing Jesus first. We make everything our life of how Jesus our jobs are relationships what we do as our activities. It's the victory don't play for the losing team you walk away with anything this morning. Don't play for the losing team. Play for the winning team be part of the winning team will have the worship team come up and let's pray.

Abba Father Amanda the victory is already secure for us. You've already won you're already Victorious. You've already paid the price.

You suffered for us you died for us you bleed for us. You lived your entire life for us. No one lives are in our life for someone else. But you did your are perfect model of what life is about. Because you lived your life for everyone else everyone else have life. And I don't we live our lives for others. They'll have life to no experience that Victory with us.

I pray that that we understand you are seated. Next to the father that when you sat down it was finished. There's no going back. There's no changing anything. . I was so thankful for that. Help us. Not to be distracted by worldly things in life things that take us away from you. You're the only thing that matters. You're the only thing that's worth chasing after you're the only thing that's Eternal Lord that last beyond the grave. Help us to make you are priority help us to be missionaries in this world help us to be disciples in this world when the enemy comes after us because we're focusing on you God. We pray that you would just crush his head. Lord we love you so much. Thanks for letting us worth in Jesus name we pray. Amen.
