In only one year, two mechanical engineering graduates from Cedarville University are demonstrating their knowledge by signing an agreement allowing Lowe’s stores to sell their product, a device that makes central air conditioners more efficient. The men, Andrew Parks and Josh Teekell, developing a device called the “Mistbox” which cools the outside air temperature before it enters the air conditioning unit. The process helps consumers save up to 30 percent on their cooling costs and reduces the carbon footprint. Teekell said, “Distribution at Lowe’s presents a huge opportunity for us to put Mistbox in every home with an air conditioner, furthering our mission to contribute to a greener world without asking our users to compromise on quality of life.”—Jim L. Wilson and Jim Sandell
