The youth group from Pathway of the Cross Church in Lubbock, Texas raised $7,000 to make the 1,100-mile trip to Louisville, Kentucky, but on the way, thieves broke into their van and took their money, performance outfits, clothes, phones, and wallets. Rather than go home, they continued the trip, unsure of what would happen. When they arrived at their motel, they learned that people who heard of their plight had raised $5,200 to give them. They were able to visit an nearby mall and get what they needed for the week. Youth pastor Drew Medrano said it became a time when each of them experienced God’s provision. He said, “The closer you are to God and the bigger the plan you have to achieve what he has for you, the more you’ll be attacked. But don’t worry about it, the battle is already won, and God’s bigger than anything that will come.”—Jim L. Wilson and Jim Sandell.
