2Ti 3:14-17. Tony van Drimmelen. We have been talking about the “last days” and the kind of evil that threatens our faith. How does a young person stay grounded in the Christian faith? Paul makes a strong case for Timothy to hold on to and to continue in the truth that he has learned and believed. Paul reminds him that he has had people of integrity play a formative role in his life. And he has the holy Scriptures – the Bible. Ultimately we know God through the Bible. We meet Jesus in the Bible. We see the cross in the Bible. Our faith and love are kindled by the glorious truths of the Bible. As we read and study the Bible, we are changed by the glorious news of the gospel. What the Bible says matters and determines how we deal with evil today.
