A God of Comfort and Compassion

Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.

Psalm 34:18 NIV

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

God will bring comfort

Psalm 46:7 NIV

The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

2 Corinthians 1:3–5 NIV

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. Matthew 11:28–30 NIV

God gives us a future

2 Corinthians 4:16–18 NIV

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
