Pr 9:10. Tony van Drimmelen. Proverbs is a quest for wisdom. It holds out to us the challenge of attaining wisdom which we have defined as a degree of competency with regard to the complex realities of life. The key to gaining such wisdom is “the fear of the Lord.” What does that mean and how do we get it? By looking at selected verses from Proverbs we see how God reveals Himself in the created order – physically, relationally and spiritually -- in our broken world. This changes our view of reality and by His grace, identifies God as the beginning of all wisdom. What we learn about God humbles us and causes us to love Him more even to fear Him.
