Ne 1:1-11. Dan Kroon. Nehemiah sets a great example for prayer. He shows us the importance of different perspectives while we pray – looking out with compassion, up with adoration, in with confession, back with thanksgiving, and forward with confidence. More than that, he shows how these things naturally flow from one to the next. The lessons we learn from Nehemiah are not just about prayer in isolation – they are triggered by real events and followed by real action. That is to say, all these perspectives are needed for the day-to-day happenings of life.
