John 8:31-36
Left brain, right brain discussion about slavery and freedom.
Word…disciples…truth…freedom.
The crowd only wants to object that they have never been slaves;
therefore they don’t need to be freed by the truth, discipleship and word of Jesus.
They proclaim that they don’t need to be freed; they do not understand their need for God’s Grace.
Two great ideas:
1. Truth…beauty…love
2. Justice…equality…freedom
“Justice is truth in action.”

Jesus is telling us that if we will buy into the first idea, the second will flow from it.
Truth is something you understand; freedom is something you do.
God wants us to know the truth so we can do justice.
