Lord, I Want to Love You…
Because
•
- If ye love me, keep my commandments.
•
- For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
•
His Will is Good
•
Quantity of Life
- That thou mightest fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son's son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged
•
Quality of Life
- Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey.

- And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.
•
- And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
•
Will Keep me from Loving other “gods”
•
- Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are round about you;
•
“gods of pleasure”
- Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season
•
“gods of power”
- For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
•
“gods of materialism”
- Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth
•
- And the world passeth away…
•
-But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up
