The world is filled with people of varying personalities.
It is a pleasure to encounter a different perspective with each conversation I have.
It is easy for me to be nice to anyone who comes my way.
I appreciate meeting those who are different from me.
The fact that they come from another background has little impact on how I treat them.
Being pleasant to strangers is as simple as offering a smile.
When I exchange pleasantries with others in the supermarket, I see the impact.
Getting someone to smile just by making the first gesture is worth the effort.
Sharing what I have with others gives me pleasure.
I realize that it is possible to take care of my interests as well as someone else's at the same time.
When I get to work each morning, I make a conscious effort to greet my co-workers.
Acknowledging them with a cheery greeting opens the floor for respectful communication and collaboration.
Before I start my car, I remind myself to be nice to other drivers on the road.
Being conscious of this makes it easy to extend courtesies when driving.
It takes more effort to be unkind than to be nice and I choose to put my energy on positive actions.
Today, I realize that being nice to someone adds value to my life as well as theirs.
