Whatever you need assurance in God, through Jesus has provided it.

John 10:7–9 KJV 1900
Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

Jesus is having a conversation with the Pharisees who are supposed to be the shepherds of Isreal.

Jesus rebukes them for their lack of compassion and concern.

John 10:1 KJV 1900
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

Jesus lets them know that the true shepherd goes in and out with no problems. The keeper knows him.

John 10:2 KJV 1900
But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

The true shepherd is not just known by the doorkeeper but he is known by the sheep also.

John 10:3 KJV 1900
To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

The true shepherd knows every sheep by name.

Matthew 10:29–31 KJV 1900
Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

Jesus knows us before we know ourselves.

Jeremiah 1:5 KJV 1900
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Those that belong to Jesus will never be lost.

John 10:4–5 KJV 1900
And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

The false shepherds, the Pharisees, did not understand what Jesus was talking about.

John 10:6–8 KJV 1900
This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them. Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.

They did not understand about the shepherd, but they understood who “I AM” is.

John 10:9 KJV 1900
I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
John 10:11 KJV 1900
I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
John 8:56–58 KJV 1900
Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

Because Jesus is the good shepherd we can be Assured we can live the Abundant life.

John 10:10 KJV 1900
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Life is more than having things of this world.

Matthew 6:19–21 KJV 1900
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Colossians 3:1–4 KJV 1900
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
Romans 12:2 KJV 1900
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
