Ezekiel 18:27–28 NIV
But if a wicked person turns away from the wickedness they have committed and does what is just and right, they will save their life. Because they consider all the offenses they have committed and turn away from them, that person will surely live; they will not die.
Haggai 1:5–7 NIV
Now this is what the Lord Almighty says: “Give careful thought to your ways. You have planted much, but harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never have your fill. You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it.” This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Give careful thought to your ways.
Psalm
Luke 15:17–24 NIV
“When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’ So he got up and went to his father. “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him. “The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate.

God Never ment for your spouse to come before him. But he never intent the church to come before your spouse
James 4:4–14 The Message
You’re cheating on God. If all you want is your own way, flirting with the world every chance you get, you end up enemies of God and his way. And do you suppose God doesn’t care? The proverb has it that “he’s a fiercely jealous lover.” And what he gives in love is far better than anything else you’ll find. It’s common knowledge that “God goes against the willful proud; God gives grace to the willing humble.” So let God work his will in you. Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him scamper. Say a quiet yes to God and he’ll be there in no time. Quit dabbling in sin. Purify your inner life. Quit playing the field. Hit bottom, and cry your eyes out. The fun and games are over. Get serious, really serious. Get down on your knees before the Master; it’s the only way you’ll get on your feet. Don’t bad-mouth each other, friends. It’s God’s Word, his Message, his Royal Rule, that takes a beating in that kind of talk. You’re supposed to be honoring the Message, not writing graffiti all over it. God is in charge of deciding human destiny. Who do you think you are to meddle in the destiny of others? And now I have a word for you who brashly announce, “Today—at the latest, tomorrow—we’re off to such and such a city for the year. We’re going to start a business and make a lot of money.” You don’t know the first thing about tomorrow. You’re nothing but a wisp of fog, catching a brief bit of sun before disappearing.

Cheating

Bible verses about cheating

Whether it’s cheating in marriage with your wife or husband or being unfaithful with your girlfriend or boyfriend cheating is always a sin. Scripture has a lot to say about cheating and its sinful nature. Many people say well God doesn’t care since we are not married, which is false.
http://biblereasons.biblereasons.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/cheating-quote.jpg
Even if it’s not cheating on your spouse cheating has to do with deception and God hates deception. You are basically living a lie creating one lie after the other.
We always hear about celebrities and people of the world who cheat on their partner.
Christians are not to seek worldly things. God is serious about adultery. If someone cheats when they’re not married what’s to stop them from cheating when they are. How is it showing love to others? How is it being like Christ? Stay away from the schemes of Satan. If we died in sin through Christ how can we still live in it? Christ has changed your life don’t go back to your old way of living.
Quotes
Cheating isn’t always kissing, touching, or flirting. If you gotta delete text messages so your partner won’t seem them, you’re already there.cheating is a choice not a mistake.
Cheating and dishonesty can never be separated.
1. Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD, But those who deal faithfully are His delight.
2. Do not lie to one another, for you have stripped off the old nature with its practices and have clothed yourselves with the new nature, which is being renewed in full knowledge, consistent with the image of the one who created it.
3. A righteous person hates deceit, but the wicked person is shameful and disgraceful.
4. Truthful words stand the test of time, but lies are soon exposed.
5. If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.
We must walk with integrity.
6. People with integrity walk safely, but those who follow crooked paths will slip and fall.
7. The one who lives with integrity will be helped, but one who distorts right and wrong will suddenly fall.
What does the Bible say?
8. “Never commit adultery.
9. Let marriage be kept honorable in every way, and the marriage bed undefiled. For God will judge those who commit sexual sins, especially those who commit adultery.
10. Whoever commits adultery with a woman is out of his mind; by doing so he corrupts his own soul.
Darkness will be revealed. The cheater is already guilty.
11. There is nothing hidden that won’t be revealed, and there is nothing secret that won’t become known and come to light.
12. Everything that is hidden will be made clear. Every secret thing will be made known.
13. Everyone who practices wickedness hates the light and does not come to the light, so that his actions may not be exposed. But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may become evident that his actions have God’s approval.”
Pornography is a form of cheating as well.
14. But I can guarantee that whoever looks with lust at a woman has already committed adultery in his heart.
Stay away from anything that appears evil
15. Abstain from all appearance of evil.
We are not supposed to act like the world. The world is living in darkness. We are to be their light.
16. But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of his own, so that you may proclaim the virtues of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
17.  Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
Cheating will hurt your reputation
18. A good name exceeds the value of fine perfume, and the day of someone’s death exceeds the value of the day of his birth.
Don’t cheat or give pay back because someone cheated on you.
19. Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone.
20. Make sure that no one ever pays back one wrong with another wrong. Instead, always try to do what is good for each other and everyone else.
Forgive
21. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
Reminders
22. So whoever knows what is good to do and does not do it is guilty of sin.
23. Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit.
24. And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
25. So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will never fulfill the desires of the flesh. For what the flesh wants is opposed to the Spirit, and what the Spirit wants is opposed to the flesh. They are opposed to each other, and so you do not do what you want to do.
Example
Late one afternoon, after his midday rest, David got out of bed and was walking on the roof of the palace. As he looked out over the city, he noticed a woman of unusual beauty taking a bath. He sent someone to find out who she was, and he was told, “She is Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam and the wife of Uriah the Hittite. Then David sent messengers to get her; and when she came to the palace, he slept with her. She had just completed the purification rites after having her menstrual period. Then she returned home.
We must run from temptation. Do not let ungodly thoughts dwell in you.
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure.

Putting God First in Your Priorities

by Joyce Meyer
There are so many things that clamor for our attention and devotion: our jobs, our kids, our spouses, our hobbies—the demands and distractions of life. And we have to be careful not to let them become more important or more of a priority than our relationship with God.
https://www.joycemeyer.org/Content/articles/ea/putting_god_first_in_your_priorities/image_dog.jpg
The first of the Ten Commandments states we will have no other gods before Him (see ). And (NLT) says, “You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind, or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the sea.  You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods.”
Yet how many of the things that occupy our time, money, thoughts and attention have taken the place where God is supposed to be?

Distractions from Truth

Anything can become a god to us—anything we worship or put an excessive amount of time into. Even your feelings can become a god if you allow them to control you. We need to ask ourselves, “Am I bowing down to God and His Word or to my feelings?”
Another challenge we have to confront is living in a world full of humanism and people not wanting God and His Truth to interfere with their lives and routines. It seems we have an epidemic of selfishness in our world today, and this creates all kinds of unhealthy situations.
For example, when people refuse to honor God and follow His wisdom in their decisions, it causes them to become bogged down with worry, resentment and bitterness. Eventually it shows up as sickness and disease in their bodies. And in our culture, this behavior causes a decline in our moral standards and attitudes.
But the good news is, we don’t have to settle for this way of living. In Christ, we can enjoy our lives—abundantly! (See .)

How to Establish the Habit of Living for God

“ The key to having God's 'abundant life' is keeping Him in His rightful place in our priorities. ”
The key to having God’s “abundant life”—His love, peace and joy—is keeping Him in His rightful place in our priorities. God said to Abraham, “Walk and live habitually before Me and be perfect (blameless, wholehearted, complete)” ( AMP). Notice that God instructed Abraham to be habitual in walking with Him and living for Him. We can do this by establishing daily habits of prayer, worship and regular, consistent time spent in His Word.
I love the Word of God! It is amazing. It contains wisdom, encouragement, comfort and inspiration for every conceivable human problem or dilemma. His Word brings peace and stability to our spirits and it will renew our minds (see ). Get excited about getting into the Bible!

Benefits of Keeping God First

Make it your goal to have a deep, intimate relationship with God. Let Him into every area of your life. If you constantly look to other people for answers and validation, pray about this and ask the Lord to help you stop doing that and instead look to Him. (See .) As we live to please God, He promises to bless our lives and make us prosper.
When you decide to serve God with your whole heart and make Him first in your life, your soul will prosper and your joy and peace will increase. Remember to lean on Him more than anything else, and tell Him, “God, I want to do this, but I can’t do it without You.” He doesn’t expect you to live for Him in your own strength or ability, and He understands when you make mistakes.
So if you mess up, don’t be discouraged and let it hold you back; confess it and keep going. God will give you grace to do what you need to do. One day at a time you and God together can do anything!

For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.

But just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not to please man, but to please God who tests our hearts.

We should not be like Cain, who was of the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own deeds were evil and his brother's righteous.

What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not this, that your passions are at war within you? You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions. You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Or do you suppose it is to no purpose that the Scripture says, “He yearns jealously over the spirit that he has made to dwell in us”? ...

The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.
