I) Introduction

II) Jesus said:

1. The Resurrection would show God. (V. 25)

His Compassion
His Love
His power
His justice

2. That as a believer, God loves us!(26-27)

a. We have an image of God being:
Angry
Far away
(NKJV)
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
(NKJV)
8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

III) Jesus Said:

1. He was from the Father

a. This proves Jesus claim of being Christ.
(NKJV)
29 But I know Him, for I am from Him, and He sent Me.”
(NKJV)
42 Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me.

2. That He returns to the Father.

(NKJV)
28 You have heard Me say to you, ‘I am going away and coming back to you.’ If you loved Me, you would rejoice because I said, ‘I am going to the Father,’ for My Father is greater than I.

IV) Jesus said:

1. We would desert Him

2. He was never alone

(NKJV)
30 I and My Father are one.”

3. We would be forgiven

(NKJV)
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

V. Jesus Said:

1. He would give us peace

2. but only through His Resurrection

(NKJV)
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4 to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,
