Do The Word
A hearer of the word and fail to do the word is like a person who looks at themselves every-day and do not recognize who they are looking at. Or a person who takes a bath then put back on the same dirty clothes. there are no changes in their behavior.
Doers do not deceive themselves

Doers do entertain false hopes

Doers looks into the perfect law
Doers is a person who acts
Doers are blessed
A doers study the perfect law that give freedom from the sting of the law. the perfect is the teaching the gospel of Jesus’ life and his teachings. the perfect law is not the freedom or a license to live for the flesh but have the ability to live and fulfill the righteousness of the perfect law of Christ.
As diligent bees fill their cells with honey unseen and unknown to others, so may we search the Word of God, which is sweeter than honey in the honeycomb, for hidden delights. As men seek riches, laboring through days and nights, so may we search for that precious truth that can guide to us a new person, a nobler aspiration, a nearer alliance to God and more blessed joy.
Over the years “religion” has lost it meaning. What was meant as good relationship with God, now means difference things to different people.
James is speaking of the only God and the creator of all things. that if a person is faithful to him or religious than they will be receptive and responsive to the new revelation and new outlook on life. a person who is truly religious will carefully control their speech.
Such a person will never deceive themselves and mislead their hearts. But, people who are religious will live a pure life, a clean life, a life that is honorable and trustworthiness for all to see.
The orphans, widows, foreigners, and the Levites formed the tradition of the poor in early Israel. True piety will help the weak, the poor and the helpless, for God is a provider for the poor.
Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no longer stubborn. For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who is not partial and takes no bribe.
