Deuteronomy 1:38 NIV
But your assistant, Joshua son of Nun, will enter it. Encourage him, because he will lead Israel to inherit it.
Genesis 18:19 NIV
For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing what is right and just, so that the Lord will bring about for Abraham what he has promised him.”

A Champion is a defender

Defender of the Fortress
A man has can be the Champion of His home (household)
A defender of the faith- Keep the way of the lord.
Creates A place of safety where values grow and are demonstrated
Ephesians 6:4 NIV
Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

A Champion lays down his life for his Home

Ephesians 5:25 NIV
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her
The words here are the same as used for a wedding ceremony. The expecting bride would be bathed before she was dressed and adorned, the ceremony is holy, these two people are ordained to be together to the exclusion of all others. A very special relationship exists just like our relationship with Jesus, that is, there be no other women to participate in matrimony and there shall be no other God between us and Jesus.

A Champion forges a future

forges a future

Deuteronomy 1:38 NIV
But your assistant, Joshua son of Nun, will enter it. Encourage him, because he will lead Israel to inherit it.
There is something that needs to be won (to have dominion over), it is the promises of God, so that we have an inheritance to pass on to the next generation.
1 John 2:13 ESV
I am writing to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I write to you, children, because you know the Father.
