Building a heavenly life on Earth
Our body is for God’s use in the present and for the future resurection
you will only rise as high as your passion

what are you passionate about?
By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also.
For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it.
The father can raise dead people to life at the end of the age (resurrectiion), the Son does what the father does but he does it in the present. There is something about us that needs the life of God.
Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his.
We share in a death and a resurrection of Christ
Our death, is to put aside our own desires that we would align with God’s life
And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,
Our place is in heaven, that is the real authority in our life. Should we fear what authorities may do to us on earth? No! The real power is the with the one who has your eternity in the grasp of his hand.

Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

If the soul is completly consumed with the notion of “my heart is in heaven”. The interest of my heart, its desire, its passion are now on Jesus, the lord of heaven.
Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

The competition is made clear, earthly things will try to steal your passion
Paul warns us that we can find our selves spiritual captives of deceptive philosphy (arguments, constructed opinions), human tradition (what we have always done) and basic ‘spiritual power’(love, forgiveness, acceptence) that human being’s try to make more important than Knowing God himself. Instead , let Christ have your thoughts.
For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

How do I do this. I need to live as those things have no hold on me. I can live without them

And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.
The literal sense is the ill person now roles his bed up and carries on with life.The person suffers unwholeness both because of spiritual sickness and physical sickness. The lord brings healing to both, he saves both. So now, get up out of your unwholeness because God heals
