· Today’s message is entitled “Dream Big”
· Let me begin by saying Happy New Year!
· Some of you are looking at me strange
· But yes we just began a new year!
· Well let me explain by showing you a video
· What is Rosh Hashanah? The Jewish New Year (4:17)
·
· Rosh Hashana just took place a few days ago, it ended on Sept 22.
· Since we are still here, I guess the world did not end yesterday as some were suggesting
· You never heard about that? Apparently the stars aligned and an unknown planet was supposed to crash into the earth.
· Or Jesus was returning to rapture his church.
· According to the Hebrew calendar the year is now 5778
· For those of you who can recall a year ago.
· Oct 2, 2016 to be exact. Our Church started to experience a greater outpouring of the gift of Healings.
· It all began on Sunday Oct 2. The first day of Rosh Hashanah
· Coincidence? More like divine providence.
· Over the last year we have had
· Over ½ dozen rotator cuffs heals
· Flesh eating disease cured and its effects reversed
· Numerous backs, knees, elbows, feet, healed
· Ears, both pain and deafness reversed
· I could go on and on.
· But how about you, If you have been healed of anything in the last year
· Stand UP! (have people stand up and testify)
· God started something very special in this place in 5777
· I truly believe he wants to continue it,
· In fact I believe that 5777 was just a small taste of what is to come
· I’m believing that 5778 will are going to see a greater revelation of the heart of God!
·
· I believe God is in the process of carrying out His Master plan throughout the earth
· Now Do I believe Jesus is coming back right away?
· No I don’t, would I like Him to return right away? Yes!
· But, I believe there is still a lot of work for His Bride to do to get ready.
“Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready.”
Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready.
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her,
so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word,
that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless.
· I contend that Jesus is waiting for his Bride to get ready before He returns

· Men we get this right? Waiting for your wife to get ready so you can go?
· Don’t answer that!
· Jesus could return at any moment….Yes!
· But Peter gives us some insight into why we’ve been waiting over 2000 years for His return
The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.
· You see Jesus is not hastening, because He waiting for His Church to do what He told us to do!

· What is that?
And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
· Jesus’ greatest desire is to see the work of the cross perpetuate throughout the earth.
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
· Jesus’ greatest desire is to see the work of the cross perpetuate throughout the earth.
· He has chosen to do it through you!
· He died for all, and expects us to carry that message everywhere we go!
· But Jesus did not leave us to our own devices,
· He didn’t just say. I’ve done my part now you go and do your part.
· “I’m out!”
Gathering them together, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for what the Father had promised, “Which,” He said, “you heard of from Me;
for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”
So when they had come together, they were asking Him, saying, “Lord, is it at this time You are restoring the kingdom to Israel?”
He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or epochs which the Father has fixed by His own authority;
but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”
And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were looking on, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.

6 Then they gathered around him and asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?”
7 He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
9 After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.
· Jesus gave us a job to do, and empowered us to do it.
· For far too long the church has attempted to fulfill the great commission, without that power.
· When we do this we become nothing more than a social organization.
· When we resist the power of Holy Spirit, we become nothing to the world
· We loose our influence, we’re considered inconsequential ,
· and the world feels at very best that the church is irrelevant to their lives
· When we speak the truth of God without power, they write us off and hostility increases.
· However when we learn to operate in the power and authority of the Spirit our deepest dreams will come true.
· Holy Spirt desires to carry out the will of the father here on earth, and He wants to empower you to do it.
· I think many Christians have a pessimistic view of our situation
· Earth quakes, Hurricanes, fires, floods, droughts,
· Natural disasters seem to have increased dramatically
· Politics are also an area of concern
· North Korea, Philippines, Iran causing unrest
· Israel’s enemies attack at every opportunity
· It seems like Christian values are under siege even in our own country
· Many Christian’s look at all the turmoil and say “Jesus has to come back or there won’t be anything left”
· There were several people saying, Jesus was going to return yesterday
· Mainly because of the alignment of the stars

· I fully believe there are signs in the heavens, Jesus said
“There will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves,

‘And I will grant wonders in the sky above
And signs on the earth below,
Blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke.
'AND I WILL GRANT WONDERS IN THE SKY ABOVE AND SIGNS ON THE EARTH BELOW, BLOOD,
AND FIRE, AND VAPOR OF SMOKE.
· So yes there are signs in the heavens to reveal the glory of God
· However the issue comes in when we try to interpret these signs
· The fact that we are here today shows that that sign in the sky on Sept 23rd 2017 that points to , was not a sign of the rapture,
, was not a sign of the rapture,
· but actually a sign of something else
· Let me be clear, I look forward to Jesus taking His bride home, I fully believe Christ could return at any moment
· However I don’t believe His bride is ready
· I don’t think the church has fulfilled what God has called us to do
· Jesus is not returning for sleeping bride, who is not dressed or ready for the wedding, who has been beat up and feels powerless
“I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.
I like the way the Messgae puts it
Jesus came back, “God bless you, Simon, son of Jonah! You didn’t get that answer out of books or from teachers. My Father in heaven, God himself, let you in on this secret of who I really am. And now I’m going to tell you who you are, really are. You are Peter, a rock. This is the rock on which I will put together my church, a church so expansive with energy that not even the gates of hell will be able to keep it out.
· Jesus is coming back for a bride at the top of her game, one that knows her place in this world and has fulfilled her role.
· It’s not going to be a, “rescue us Jesus we are in so much trouble, we can’t do what you asked us to do. This world is so messed up we want out! Please Jesus come save us
· Rather it’s going to be. Jesus through your Spirit we accomplished everything you wanted us to do. We’re ready! Come Lord Jesus Come
· I believe that when the church as a whole begins to operate under the authority of Holy Spirit the world will change
· As His Kingdom expands, His will is done. When His will is done, evil no longer has a foothold
but just as it is written,
“Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard,
And which have not entered the heart of man,
All that God has prepared for those who love Him.”
Corinthians 2:9
· Yes this reference is for heaven,
However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” the things God has prepared for those who love Him
· Yes this reference is for heaven,
· But didn’t Jesus tell us to pray that’s God’s will would be done on earth just like it is in heaven
· And if God’s will is done on earth as it is in heaven, doesn’t that make earth like heaven?
· I believe we can experience unfathomable things right here on earth
· Yes this earth will one day be destroyed and God will create a new heaven and a new earth
· But that occurs after the tribulation.
· The earth will get pretty messed up then, when the restrainer is removed.
· But that doesn’t mean we have to put up with it being messed up while we are still living in it!
Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us,
· This verse is for now!

‘For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.

· I imagine a world without hunger, after all Jesus fed the multitude
“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.
· We are to do what Jesus did, If every Christian did what Jesus did, can you imagine what the world would be like
Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

· Jesus said those who believe in Him will do what He did, but even greater!
· In 2010 there was an estimated 2.2 billion people who claimed to be Christians
· That’s 31% of the worlds populations
· Imagine for a moment what would happen to the earth if just the Christians began to do what Jesus did!
· Well I don’t have influence over most of them, but I’m going to do everything I can to influence my circle to do what Jesus did and more!
· That means you!
· So how are we going to do this?
· Well we don’t have to figure that out
· Jesus already did,
· Through the Holy Spirit the Church has been given gifts to carry out the Father’s will here on earth
And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers,
for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ;
until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.
· Jesus gave leaders to lead the church

· It was His gift to the church
· Remember that, I am one of God’s gift to this church!
· Apostle’s Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors & Teachers
· That is what Jesus gave to equip the church.
· Each one of these offices is vital for the success of the church
· No church can just rely on Pastors, and fulfill its destiny
· Just like no church can simply rely on an evangelist.
· It takes all the offices being fulfilled to see the saints properly equipped for ministry
· One of the primary responsibilities of the Church leadership is to help the saints develop their spiritual giftings
· It’s my job to help you develop your giftings, so you can effectively do the work of ministry
· It’s not my job to do ministry,
· That’s something that has to change
· Especially in the minds of Pastors
· We even say we’re going into the ministry, or I’m a minister of the Gospel
· When we should be saying I’m training my people for ministry
· You are the ministers! I’m simply here to help you learn how to do it
· And that’s what we are going to do.
Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit.
And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord.
There are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons.
But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.
· Every believer has at least 1 Spirit gifts
4 There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. 5 There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6 There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.
But earnestly desire the greater gifts.
And I show you a still more excellent way.
7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.
· Every believer has at least 1 Spirit gifts
· The greater gift is the gift that is needed at a specific time
Now eagerly desire the greater gifts. And yet I will show you the most excellent way.
· The greater gift is the gift that is needed at a specific time
· The gifts you dream of, are the gifts that Holy Spirit wants to develop in you
· I want you to dream big dreams
· Allow yourself to imagine,
· What would it be like to lay your hands on the sick and see them recover?
· What would it be like to feed 5000 people with a boys lunch?
· What would it be like to command a demon to leave someone and the demon obeys in fear?
· What would it be like to walk on water or raise the dead?
· What would it be like to speak words of life over someone who is ready call it quits?
· Or speak a word that gives someone hope and encouragement to carry out the plans God has for them!
· What would it be like to know intimate details of someone’s life that when revealed they give God glory?
· People this is the desire of the father
· That His people would operate under the power of the Holy Spirit
· Not just a select few, but all who believe in Him
· Do what Jesus did, and even more!
· I have many dreams, one I to want to share with you today!
· I dream of a church that is focused on making disciples, Where God’s heart becomes our heart.
· Not by following a program or curriculum, not driven by guilt or fear
· But rather just like the original disciples spreading the Gospel through Love & Power

· I fully believe the best way to make disciples is to follow God’s original plan.

· For His people to operate through the gifts supplied through Holy Spirit
· That’s where we as a Church are going, for the next several months we are going to focus on Holy spirit and His gifts
· Making sure each one of you develops what God desires you to have
· I hope you want to come on this journey with us
