I have some bad news...
I have some bad news...
and it may surpize some of you....
and the bad news is that some of you are not going to heaven!
There I said it and I’m sorry...
I hope that this doesn’t upset you too much...
See… some of you may think you are going to heaven because you come to church every week.
or because someone told you you are.
Some of you have been in church all your loves.. or atleast so long that you can’t remember ever not going so you assume that you are a christian and that you are going to heaven. and its unfortunate because in some cases it may not be true...
Does that make anyone here a little uncomfortable?

Good… it should. it should make you at least a little uncomfortable… I don’t know about you but I really really want to go to heaven.... so anything that might keep me away from there makes me a little bit nervous.
But… (and there is always a butt lol)
I have some good news too...
I have some good news too...
This is one of the things that Jesus says and it’s what gives me hope and I hope it gives you hope too (that’s lot of hope).
We all know the verse. almost everyone even non christians can quote it. It’s found in John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Do you know what the term Gospel means?

It litterally means Good News… so when you hear us talking about speaking the gospel or spreading the gospel. it litterally means that we are spreading the “Good News” and the Good news of the entire bible… can be stated in this one verse:
That God so loved the world (you) that he GAVE his only begotten son. that Whosoever (that mean anyone) BELIEVES in him SHOULD NOT PERISH but have everlasting life
That is good news isn’t it… All you have to do is believe, truly believe that Jesus IS the son of God, that he came down from heaven to earth to paid the price for your sins.
If you can just believe that… the Good News is that you have your ticket to heaven!
so my question today is
Do you believe?
Do you believe?
do you (YOU) believe that Jesus is real?
Do you believe that He is the Son of God?
Do you believe that God sent him here to pay for your sins?
Do you believe the Good news?
