Jesus knows your fears. (v. 19, 26)

Jesus knew the fears the disciples and Thomas had.

They were facing certain death.

When Jesus appeared to them it was to comfort them and help them know he is alive and will always be with them through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus knows your fears as well.

He is already working in those situations.
ILLUSTRATION: My fears (mice, needles) Even things that I fear that I don’t want to admit. Things I fear that I’m not even aware of. Jesus knows.

Thomas had doubts about Jesus.
Sometimes we feel like we need to hide our doubts or be ashamed of them.
Jesus knows already. (v. 26-27)

Instead of going to God, sometimes people are tempted to turn to other sources only.
Jesus will meet you where you are.
Jesus understands whatever you are going through.
Jesus took time to calm their fears.
He knew and reached out to Thomas during his times of doubts.
ILLUSTRATION: Parents packing note and snacks for me for camp (Knew I would need them, even before I did. Similarly, Jesus prepared the disciples with the Holy Spirit, etc.).
Jesus encourages us in our faith, who have not seen him.
Jesus knew believing without seeing would be difficult at times (v. 29)
He meets us where we are by giving us His Word.
He gave us the Holy Spirit.
Giving us science where, when studied in view of the Bible, we can better understand His creation.

We need to be prepared to meet others where they are.
