Recap the first 5 weeks of class (30 minutes)

the 4 loves
the four stages of community
Sin separates us from our ability to experience the father’s love.
Come out of hiding/Why we hide
Father types
1 Thes. - Knowing God’s will for our lives.

After 5 weeks of “you are loved no matter what”, this week we will talk about works, and how helpful they are.

We will discuss our Oneness with Christ as the place our lives truly begin. ( 30 minutes)
,

Thus far we have been building a baseline for being open to God as our Father. Now we begin to move into knowing how to move and grow in the Father.

Shame stands in the way, so let’s eliminate false understandings of ourselves that lead to shame.
Sin, Transgression and Iniquity lead to shame, so let’s eliminate the conditions that make sin easy.
To know the Father in an honest an uniquely YOU way, the first step is being honest about ourselves.
Our invitation to know God as Father is an invitation to share in His identity.
Sharing in His identity includes sharing in His values. Living in a “Godly” way.
Righteousness literally means “Right-living”. We are the Right Living of God in Christ. The output of our lives is the right-living that Jesus gets to keep living.
Think of the ways God is.
Hates injustice. Hates anything that hurts his kids. Loves everyone. Walks the walk.
-Abraham and the censor and the smoke.
-Water from the rock, strike it vs speak to it -start by being in charge, live in a way that all realize that they are powerful.
What is the Father like?
Let those be your works too.
Faith pleases God because with faith we honor the Son, and live the life we are called to live. Waves and all.
The Father puts HIMSELF in the position to pay for OUR mistakes.
Without the substance of things hoped for, the presence of things unseen, it is impossible to please God.
The substance of things hoped for, the presence of things unseen, without works, is dead.
Works are not meant to be an indication of how set apart we are, or how much God loves us. Works shape us and craft us, and show us who the Father is.
“Father, as I complete my tasks, may they complete me.”
God wants us to learn how to live like Jesus. So we can know even more that we truly are one with Him. That He truly is with us.
Does God love us more when we do more?
Do we love God when He does more?
