Introduction

Our service tonight is for us to return thanks to the Lord for what He has done. We have much to be thankful for. Of course, this building is one of the many things that we should be thankful for. We should be thankful for the $31,000 that came in this past Sunday. There are many things that I could mention tonight, but it would be better to hear from you. Before we start, I want to share some scripture with you to get us thinking about thanksgiving.
Psalm 95:2 NKJV
Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.
Psalm 107:
Psalm 107:1 NKJV
Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
Does anyone have something that they are thankful for?
1 Corinthians 15:57 NKJV
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Psalm 42:4 NKJV
When I remember these things, I pour out my soul within me. For I used to go with the multitude; I went with them to the house of God, With the voice of joy and praise, With a multitude that kept a pilgrim feast.
Hebrews 13:15 NKJV
Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.
Who else has something to share?

1 Corinthians
1 Corinthians 15:57 NKJV
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
When it comes to thanksgiving, our greatest thanks should be for our salvation. On the night when Jesus was betrayed, he took the bread and the cup and gave thanks. Then he told the disciples to eat the bread and drink the cup in remembrance of Him. Let’s express our thanks to the Lord as we take the Lord’s supper.
We are going to have a time for you to meditate on the Lord’s sacrifice, you are welcome to come to the altar. Then, I will give thanks for the bread and the cup. After I pray, I encourage you to come as family or friends in groups of no more than six and observe the Lord’s supper. After taking the bread and cup, please be seated and wait until everyone has finished.
Matthew 26:26–27 NKJV
And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.” Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you.
Time of meditation/prayer.
Pray
Lord’s Supper
We know that Jesus did not stay dead, but He was raised from the dead. The Lord gives us a promise that is worthy of our thanks in 2 Corinthians 4:14-15.
2 Corinthians 4:
2 Corinthians 4:14–15 NKJV
knowing that He who raised up the Lord Jesus will also raise us up with Jesus, and will present us with you. For all things are for your sakes, that grace, having spread through the many, may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.
God bless you and keep you. May you have a wonderful day with family as you give thanks tomorrow. You are dismissed.
