The Difficulty of Battles Ahead

1 Timothy 1:18 NIV
Timothy, my son, I am giving you this command in keeping with the prophecies once made about you, so that by recalling them you may fight the battle well,
1 tim 1:18
Gods words will prepare you for what lies ahead

Battle fatigue

2 Timothy 4:7 NIV
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
1 Timothy 4:7 NIV
Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather, train yourself to be godly.
Spiritual power must be matched with personal commitment and resolve, there must be a wrestle, an engagement with adversary.
you need to be a finisher, see it through to the end.
You need to have not let go of or lost (kept) what God has entrusted to you. There is some thing you have been given that is most valuable

Waging War

2 Corinthians 10:2–4 NIV
I beg you that when I come I may not have to be as bold as I expect to be toward some people who think that we live by the standards of this world. For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.
A stronghold is A fortified position that will not be moved, this spiritual leader is explicitly declaring that the opposition he is facing is established patterns of thought that that acts as a barrier to knowing God personally.
2 Corinthians 10:5 NIV
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
2 Cor 10:5

Battle Cry

Joshua 6:20 NIV
When the trumpets sounded, the army shouted, and at the sound of the trumpet, when the men gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed; so everyone charged straight in, and they took the city.
Josh 6:20
thier needs to be a confidence rising up with you that can only end in one thing! A shout, a conviction so deep , a passion so powerful, a defining moment that says I am all in there is no turning back, it is a battle cry, that resounds from the mouths of the courageous. It is followed by an immediate advance, a charge toward victory.

Battle lines

1 Timothy 6:12 NIV
Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
1 tim 6:12
the Battle line is the line of soldiers that you choose to stand with, that you choose to fight with. These are my people and I will stand by yourside even when things get difficult.
When you determine what side your on, it will only take hold in your spirit when you begin to confess it to the people around you.
Do you want to be on the winnin g side or losing side?
