!! LESSON:  THE FRIENDSHIP FACTOR
*READING**:    John 15:12-15*
*INTRO:*          Over the past 15 years/ “church growth”/ researchers have found out what we did not previously know.
That is, the majority of people from the community do not visit to find out our “conservative” or “liberal” we are and do not hang around to commend us for such dedication to God’s Word as final authority.
Community folks and even some church people come to see if we are a */friendly /*bunch!
If 1st impressions are favourable, perhaps they will return and inquire as to what we believe.
This is the TRUTH they are seeking.
This phenomenon, while not pleasing, needs to be heeded.
It probably speaks to our times.
*ILLUST:*        VALUE OF FRIENDS.
*I BELIEVE THIS CHURCH OPERATES THIS WAY*
1.      CHRISTIANS HAVE THE FRIENDSHIP ADVANTAGE
a.
We Have A Relationship With Jesus
b.
We Are Already Experiencing Faith, Hope, Love, Joy, Peace
c.      It  Is Not a Large Step
