God is Creator which means that everything exists because of his creative acts.

Revelation 4:11 ESV
“Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”

God created all things “ex nihilo” out of nothing.

“ex nihilo”
God started with no raw material. Where man is able to do amazing things with power to shape and transform. God starts with noting and from nothing brings all things into existence! That is why God is worthy to receive glory, and honor and power!
- David Prays to the Creator to Create in him a clean heart!
Psalm 51:10 ESV
Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.

God is One which means that their are no competing deities.

Deuteronomy 6:4 ESV
“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.

De

Deuteronomy 4:35 ESV
To you it was shown, that you might know that the Lord is God; there is no other besides him.
Plytheism means mean God’s! - this was the belief in Egypt - in Palastine!
Deu 4 35

God is Triune which means that as the one true God He is Father, Son, and Spirit.

Tri- 3 - une - meaning one - So what the Bible teaches is that God is three-in one!
Matthew 28:20 ESV
20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Look at Matt 28:19
Matthew 28:19 ESV
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

The Father is God.

Matthew 6:9–10 ESV
9 Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. 10 Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

The Son is God.

John 20:27–28 ESV
27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.” 28 Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!”

The Spirit is God.

Acts 5:1–4 ESV
1 But a man named Ananias, with his wife Sapphira, sold a piece of property, 2 and with his wife’s knowledge he kept back for himself some of the proceeds and brought only a part of it and laid it at the apostles’ feet. 3 But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back for yourself part of the proceeds of the land? 4 While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not at your disposal? Why is it that you have contrived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to man but to God.”
What does the trinity tell us about God? He doesn’t fit into a box! You can’t press God into any human mold! He is unique.
When you think about God you should expect that there is mystery in trying to understand him.

God is Sovereign which means God rules over all things in heaven and on earth.

Daniel 4:35 ESV
all the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing, and he does according to his will among the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay his hand or say to him, “What have you done?”

“Most Christians salute the sovereignty of God but believe in the sovereignty of man.”

Psalm 135:6 ESV
Whatever the Lord pleases, he does, in heaven and on earth, in the seas and all deeps.
Spurgeon Stated,

Fewer doctrines of the Christian faith are more comforting than the sovereignty of God. It humbles you in good seasons, provides hope in hard seasons, and gives joy in all seasons. The doctrine of God’s sovereignty is a constant nourishment for the soul.

You need to know that God has got this. On the good days God is own his throne! On the bad days God is on his throne!

God is Good which means He interacts with Creation in perfect purity of character.

Mark 10:18 ESV
And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone.
Mark 10:18 ESV
And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone.
Mark 10:18 ESV
And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone.
The goodness of God places Him in a category all to Himself.
Exodus 15:11 ESV
“Who is like you, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like you, majestic in holiness, awesome in glorious deeds, doing wonders?
The Key Word for this is holy!
Holy - God is set apart from sin and set apart to righteousness.
Isaiah 6:1–3 ESV
In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him stood the seraphim. Each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one called to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!”
This is the only Characteristic of God raised to the third degree. It marks the essence of Who God is and also His settled expectation of His people.
Nadab and Abihu
Uzza who grabbed the Arc of the Covenant - 1 Chro 13 and was immediately killed.
Ananias and Sapphira

God is good means He is holy.

God’s holiness means he has a zero tolerance policy for sin!
ESV19 Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”
You say that’s bad news because I am a sinner.

God is good also means He is mercy.

Love - God’s nature is love.
ESV8 Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.
Application Casual Worship is Not Acceptable Casual worship is no longer possible. You can't worship this God without affection. You can't worship this God without deep emotion. If you know God truly, you will love God deeply. How can you know this God, and not feel for this God? How can you know this God, but when you worship, look like you are bored to tears? It doesn't make sense. Casual worship is no longer possible when you know this God.
Application - If God is holy then we must relate to him in holiness!
