One Breach in Our Faith is Satan’s Opportunity.

Nehemiah 6:10-13

I.            TRUSTING GOD KNOWS NOTHING OF SITUATIONAL MANIPULATION.

            A. Doing right is always right.

                        1) Even if it invites disaster.

                        2) Especially when we cannot see the end of a matter.

            B. We cannot change circumstances to fit our understanding.

            C. We must not move from uncomfortable situations because it’s more bearable.

Example: In 1Kings 17 we see the prophet Elijah who having prophesied of a great drought, is now the recipient of his own prophecy, as the brook Cherith dries up.

II.            CHRISTIANS NEED TO CALCULATE EVERY MOVE AS IF ENGAGED IN A CHESS MATCH.

            A. We do not walk blindly.

                        1) We have an adversary.

                        2) We are to wear the Armour.

            B. We do not walk by sight.

                        1) Things are not always what they seem.

                        2) The enemy will trick us.

            C. We do walk by faith.

                        1) Demands knowledge of the word of God.

                        2) Requires interaction with the Lord.
