1. FULL DEDICATION AS A CHRISTIAN

I. COMPLETE SPIRITUAL DEDICATION

A. Love. To love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength (). When we love Him as we should, we will then keep all His commandments ().

B. Living

1. Daily living—. Taking up our cross daily! More than accepting Christ—living for Him daily!

2. Denial living—. Not I, but Christ! Note also Paul’s words, “And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts” ().

3. Determined living—. Daniel had to make a choice. No one could choose for him. This determination helped him all through his life. See .

C. Learning—. All Christians should study and learn more of God’s Word and way. See . Paul had one desire—to know Christ ().

II. COMPLETE PHYSICAL DEDICATION

A. The heart—. Loving Him completely. Compare with and .

B. The hands—. Compare with .

C. The feet—. Feet running to make trouble. The Living Bible says, “… Eagerness to do wrong.…” tells of those with beautiful feet—those who spread the gospel.

D. The mind— The mind of Christ being in us daily.

E. The ears—. “… Swift to hear, slow to speak.…” Never listen to gossip nor gossip yourself.

F. The eyes—. The sin of lust. See .

G. The nose—. Keep your nose out of other people’s business.

H. The mouth—. “Keep your mouth closed and you’ll stay out of trouble” (LB). Also, “Self-control means controlling the tongue! A quick retort can ruin everything” ( LB).

III. COMPLETE MATERIAL DEDICATION

This means both our money and our possessions.

A. Sacrifice—. “… Neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the Lord my God of that which doth cost me nothing.”

B. Stewards—. We are God’s caretakers.

C. Security—. Laying up treasures in heaven.

D. Sin—. Having money or possessions is not wrong, but loving them more than God is sin.

E. Surrender—. Christ first in all you do. Almost the same as .
