The Armor of God

Belt of Truth
Breastplate of Righteousness
Shoes of peace
Ephesians 6:12 KJV 1900
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

The Shield of Faith

Ephesians 6:16 LEB
in everything taking up the shield of faith, with which you are able to quench all the flaming arrows of the evil one,
the shield is 4 tall, interlocking with neighbor
protection from arrows and fire arrows
together its an advancing wall

Arrows

doubt worries
your not good enough
not concerned with the lost
lack of motivation toward the lost
excuse not to study God’s word
reasons not to pray

our faith has to be attached to something
Not faith in faith

Romans 4:18–23 LEB
who against hope believed in hope, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was said, “so will your descendants be.” And not being weak in faith, he considered his own body as good as dead, because he was approximately a hundred years old, and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. And he did not waver in unbelief at the promise of God, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God and being fully convinced that what he had promised, he was also able to do. Therefore it was credited to him for righteousness. But it was not written for the sake of him alone that it was credited to him,
Abraham in spite of all reason believed in God’s promise
God’s promise was his shield when satan came at him with doubts
we have to quickly apply what we believe to every thing satan throws at us
Genesis 15:1 LEB
After these things the word of Yahweh came to Abram in a vision, saying: “Do not be afraid, Abram; I am your shield, and your reward shall be very great.”
God is the one who protects
Psalm 46 LEB
For the music director. Of the sons of Korah. According to Alamoth. A song. God is our refuge and strength, a very sufficient help in troubles. Therefore we will not fear though the earth change, and though the mountains totter into the midst of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though mountains shake with its surging water. Selah There is a river whose streams gladden the city of God, the holiest of the dwellings of the Most High. God is in the midst of her; she will not be made to totter. God will help her at daybreak. Nations roar, kingdoms shake; he utters his voice, the earth melts. Yahweh of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our high stronghold. Selah Come, see the works of Yahweh, who has placed desolations on the earth. He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth; he breaks the bow and cuts off the spear. The wagons of war he burns with fire. “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations; I will be exalted in the earth.” Yahweh of Hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our high stronghold. Selah
