I am afraid today, that we have lost a lot of our moral compass when it comes to sin. I think in the case of the church we have forgotten just how holy God is, we have lost our sense of reverence for God, the bible says in proverbs 1:7
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge:
But fools despise wisdom and instruction.
we need to see sin as King David saw his sin in
Against thee, thee only, have I sinned,
And done this evil in thy sight:
That thou mightest be justified when thou speakest,
And be clear when thou judgest.
psalm 51
our problem is we want to sin with out the consequeses, we want to pray a quick prayer of forgiveness and move on. God deserves more than that...
He is holy!!!!
In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Always remember Revival always starts with ME!!!!
we cant keep living the same half committed, immature, still on milk, non reveretial, unspiritual lives and think that God will bring revival to our homes, our church or our community.
Contrary to what tradition teaches us,
There must be a personal REVIVAL before there can be any revival.
If you think that bringing a couple of dynamic speakers in for a week out of the year will bring revival, friend I will just put it like the Apostle Paul said it.
How To Have Personal Revival:
Godly Sorrow
Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing. For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
