I am a church Member

I will be a unifying church Member

John 13:35 NKJV
35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
The way we relate with one another or act towards one another.
God wants you to be a unifying presence.
unity is vital to every church.
Ephesians 1:15–16 NKJV
15 Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers:
Ephesians 4:1–2 NKJV
1 I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, 2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love,
you are never to be a divisive force even if it means foregoing your own preferences at times.
Colossians 3:14 NKJV
14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.
Gossip and other negative talk
Romans 1:29–31 NKJV
29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful;
A unified
Gossip is not tolerated
How should we deal with the issue of Gossip in the Church?
Don’t be a source of gossip. if you are not sure whether something is a gossip or not don’t mention it.
If someone in the church begins to share gossip with you gently rebuke them.
1 Peter 3:10 NKJV
10 For “He who would love life And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips from speaking deceit.

Forgiveness and Unity

if God is to use you in the church you have to forgive
Matthew 6:14–15 NKJV
14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Math 6:14-15
Colossians 3:12–14 NKJV
12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. 14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.
we will all sin yes we are all hypocrites . We should not be too prideful not to forgive.
I am a church member i will seek to be a source of unity and not gossip in the church.

I will not let my church be about my preferences and desires.

I want things my way
Membership is about giving up my preferences. You are there to give, you are there to sacrifice.
e.g. who is the greatest in the Kingdom.
