Background and Introduction
The story of Ruth shows us a true sense of family. This book expounds on a topic of loyalty, friendship, helpfulness, wisdom and love. Typically we hashtag relationship goals when it comes to Ruth and Boaz. Many young ladies desire to have a Mother-in-law with such wisdom as Naomi. Nonetheless let’s look at this lesson as a sign of grace. Although the author is not mentioned the lesson in this book is relevant and personal regardless of the space of life you are currently in.
Grace is such a powerful gift given to us by God. It is imperative that as God’s grace is bestowed on us, that attitude and meaningful service is to be shared with others. God’s grace is not person specific, nor should our love be conditional as well.
Considering the future we know that Ruth as well as Boaz are mentioned in the lineage road map of Jesus Christ. This all comes to fruition at the expense of Grace, Love, Loyalty and Obedience.

Understand, Ruth is a Moabite woman. Who has pledged her loyalty to a woman in Naomi of Hebrew descent. Understand people who know your past can hold you hostage to that past. They knew that she was the Daughter-in-Law of Elimelech, they knew he fled this land during a time of famine.
We are dealing with a people who believe that the sins of the father are often times transferable to the rest of his family.
As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth. And his disciples asked him, Rabbi, who sinned this man or his parents, that he was born blind?
Despite your background, grace acknowledges the idea that God blesses people when we have enough sacrificial love to help those who need it.
Ruth did not have to do what she had done for her mother in law.
Boaz replied to her, All that you have done for your mother-in-law after the death of your husband has been fully reported to me, and how you left your father and your mother and the land of your birth, and came to a people that you did not previously know.
This in turn prompts Boaz to showcase some grace of his own. Regardless of background people are looking for refuge.
“under whose wings you have come to seek refuge”.
Boaz entreats Ruth not as a Moabite, but as a beautiful woman created by God.

Grace not only invites you in! Grace says sit close to the one in charge, regardless of your background. Grace says, not only dine with me but eat until you are full. This is the type of gracious man that Boaz is, and the background or ethnicity of Ruth does not matter to him.
The grace of Boaz even spans further than the dinner table. Understand that he is pastor of this pasture, and he commands that the needs of Ruth be met and then some.

When we look at people through our human eyes grace does not make sense!
Grace says despite your past here you go. Oh, you do not look like us? Here you go! Not only here you go, but here is some from everyone else.

“She gleaned until the evening. Then she beat out what she had gleaned, and it was about an ephah of barely”.
Not only did she have grain! But within the grain was seeds of barely, in which she had about four gallons. This is what grace does, grace doesn’t only bless you with an immediate need but prepares you for a future need as well.
o Ruth shows us that loyalty and service expands past blood lineage.
o Ruth shows that when we sacrifice for others God will sacrifice for us.
o Boaz shows us that people do not have to look like us to receive the grace that God has given us.
o When people see that the leader serves, people do not mind serving others as well. Service is contagious.
o We should always entreat our elderly like our own parents.
o Our elders should give wise advice to those who are younger than us.

Boaz exemplifies Jesus before Jesus even comes to the earth. Understand Jesus comes so that we might have life. Boaz was placed in Ruth’s life to provide for her in ways she was not expecting.
The invitation of Jesus has directions attached to the blessings.
He invites us to his table to provide for us, not to take things from us.
Jesus blesses us despite our background. Grace is for all who will receive it as a gift.

o God’s people need to know that Grace is for all of us. Despite what society may think you need and want, following God is always the right choice. Ruth did not have to stay with Naomi, just like Boaz did not have to allow her to gather food for herself and Naomi, and even furthermore he did not have to ask the reapers to give her some of theirs as well. , ,

Let’s use the grace of God to be a blessing to others, not just ourselves. Also let us keep ourselves pure as men and women because we never know who is looking.
