2 De Reyes 4:8-37 RVR1960
Cierto día, Eliseo fue a la ciudad de Sunem y una mujer rica que vivía allí le insistió que fuera a comer a su casa. Después, cada vez que él pasaba por allí, se detenía en esa casa para comer algo.
Entonces la mujer le dijo a su esposo: «Estoy segura de que este hombre que pasa por aquí de vez en cuando es un santo hombre de Dios.
Construyamos un pequeño cuarto en el techo para él y pongámosle una cama, una mesa, una silla y una lámpara. Así tendrá un lugar dónde quedarse cada vez que pase por aquí».
Cierto día, Eliseo regresó a Sunem y subió a ese cuarto para descansar.
Entonces le dijo a su sirviente, Giezi: «Dile a la mujer sunamita que quiero hablar con ella». Cuando ella llegó,
Eliseo le dijo a Giezi: «Dile: “Agradecemos tu amable interés por nosotros. ¿Qué podemos hacer por ti? ¿Quieres que te recomendemos con el rey o con el comandante del ejército?”». «No —contestó ella—, mi familia me cuida bien».
Más tarde, Eliseo le preguntó a Giezi: —¿Qué podemos hacer por ella? —Ella no tiene hijos —contestó Giezi—, y su esposo ya es anciano.
—Llámala de nuevo —le dijo Eliseo. La mujer regresó y se quedó de pie en la puerta mientras Eliseo le dijo:
—El año que viene, por esta fecha, ¡tendrás un hijo en tus brazos! —¡No, señor mío! —exclamó ella—. Hombre de Dios, no me engañes así ni me des falsas esperanzas.
Efectivamente, la mujer pronto quedó embarazada y al año siguiente, por esa fecha, tuvo un hijo, tal como Eliseo le había dicho.
Cierto día, el niño, ya más grande, salió a ayudar a su padre en el trabajo con los cosechadores,
y de repente gritó: «¡Me duele la cabeza! ¡Me duele la cabeza!». Su padre le dijo a uno de sus sirvientes: «Llévalo a casa, junto a su madre».
Entonces el sirviente lo llevó a su casa, y la madre lo sostuvo en su regazo; pero cerca del mediodía, el niño murió.
Ella lo subió y lo recostó sobre la cama del hombre de Dios; luego cerró la puerta y lo dejó allí.
Después le envió un mensaje a su esposo: «Mándame a uno de los sirvientes y un burro para que pueda ir rápido a ver al hombre de Dios y luego volver enseguida».
—¿Por qué ir hoy? —preguntó él—. No es ni festival de luna nueva ni día de descanso. Pero ella dijo: —No importa.
Entonces ensilló el burro y le dijo al sirviente: «¡Apúrate! Y no disminuyas el paso a menos que yo te lo diga».
Cuando ella se acercaba al hombre de Dios, en el monte Carmelo, Eliseo la vio desde lejos y le dijo a Giezi: «Mira, allí viene la señora de Sunem.
Corre a su encuentro y pregúntale: “¿Están todos bien, tú, tu esposo y tu hijo?”». «Sí —contestó ella—, todo bien”.
Sin embargo, cuando ella se encontró con el hombre de Dios en la montaña, se postró en el suelo delante de él y se agarró de sus pies. Giezi comenzó a apartarla, pero el hombre de Dios dijo: «Déjala. Está muy angustiada, pero el Señor no me ha dicho qué le pasa».
Entonces ella dijo: «¿Acaso yo te pedí un hijo, señor mío? ¿Acaso no te dije: “No me engañes ni me des falsas esperanzas”?».
Enseguida Eliseo le dijo a Giezi: «¡Prepárate para salir de viaje, toma mi vara y vete! No hables con nadie en el camino. Ve rápido y pon la vara sobre el rostro del niño».
Pero la madre del niño dijo: «Tan cierto como que el Señor vive y que usted vive, yo no regresaré a mi casa a menos que usted venga conmigo». Así que Eliseo volvió con ella.
Giezi se adelantó apresuradamente y puso la vara sobre el rostro del niño, pero no pasó nada. No daba señales de vida. Entonces regresó a encontrarse con Eliseo y le dijo: «El niño sigue muerto».
En efecto, cuando Eliseo llegó, el niño estaba muerto, acostado en la cama del profeta.
Eliseo entró solo, cerró la puerta tras sí y oró al Señor.
Después se tendió sobre el cuerpo del niño, puso su boca sobre la boca del niño, sus ojos sobre sus ojos y sus manos sobre sus manos. Mientras se tendía sobre él, ¡el cuerpo del niño comenzó a entrar en calor!
Entonces Eliseo se levantó, caminó de un lado a otro en la habitación, y se tendió nuevamente sobre el niño. ¡Esta vez el niño estornudó siete veces y abrió los ojos!
Entonces Eliseo llamó a Giezi y le dijo: «¡Llama a la madre del niño!». Cuando ella entró, Eliseo le dijo: «¡Aquí tienes, toma a tu hijo!».
Ella cayó a los pies de Eliseo y se inclinó ante él llena de gratitud. Después tomó a su hijo en brazos y lo llevó abajo.
Today I Want to talk about the a powerful story of strength, faith, Today we are going to see the life of a the Sunamita women…it doesn’t say her name but that she was a women that was well off … today I want to look at a some points of this amazning story..
Her only words – “All is Well” she speaks them twice, once to her husband and the second time to Gehazi. The truth was, all was not well. This is where she had to dig deep into her faith in the One who had already made the impossible, possible
She was content .. happy

She could have requested anything, but she simply says – “I’m content”and leaves the room.
Ummm hello .. ladies how many know that we woildve been like ok I need shoes, I need my husband better, oh and my vecina to stop being a chismosa…
She was a wealthy woman and did have a lot to be happy about. . Keep your focus on the good things God has blessed you with. This is the secret of a happy and thankful heart.
…so we see once more Eliseo talks to his servent and asks what can we do for her ..and he answers that she does not have a child so they call her back
Más tarde, Eliseo le preguntó a Giezi: —¿Qué podemos hacer por ella? —Ella no tiene hijos —contestó Giezi—, y su esposo ya es anciano.
—Llámala de nuevo —le dijo Eliseo. La mujer regresó y se quedó de pie en la puerta mientras Eliseo le dijo:

God Sees Our Buried Dreams
Ever have a dream like that, one you hold so near and dear to your heart, that you don’t even speak of it? I have a few.
We may try to bury them deep, but God sees our hearts and every unfulfilled dream they hold. God sees you and cares for you….
A Gift Given –
Then Taken Away = Roots Out Real Faith
I can feel her heart fall in her chest as she sees a servant at her door, with her limp son in his arms. Her grief as she holds him, as his breath leaves his body for the last time.
At this point I would have been screaming out to anyone who would hear me. You see Her husband had never known that anything had gone wrong. Wow, I am simply amazed at how this woman held it together.
In faith, she knew that the only One who could restore her son to her, was the One who had given him to her. Her God Not her, she takes him to the upper room, lays him on the bed and shuts the door.
The woman took her promise that was ‘dead’ and put it in a room where no one would see it and shut the door.
Can you maintain the peace of your house in the middle of a troubling time? She did. Her dream was dead before her eyes, but she was able to maintain the peace in her house and brought her troubles and sorrows to the only person who could change the situation.
Can we do the same? Can we bring our problems directly to God and believe that He is the only one who can change and revive what is dead?
We must not waver in our faith even when we do not see the answer with our eyes.
No matter how bad things look or how negative the report is, you should still rejoice. Not at what you are going through, but at the fact that the Lord God Almighty is on your side.
She knows where she needs to go. To the man of God – who reflected the very presence of God.

Focus on your Mission..
We need to be persistent. A time will come in all our lives when satan will attempt to steal something that God has decided to bless us with.
So the Shunammite woman hurries to see Elijah. This is about a 30 mile trip and she is on a donkey, which means that this trip took several hours. I can’t fathom the immense pain she was feeling.
I love this because it shows a mom who will fight, and is on a mission to fight for the life of her child…. We become like a lioness …leona
Hold Tight and Don’t Let Go
She breezes past Gehazi and has her sights on Elisha, the man of God.

She reaches out for Elisha’s heal and a strange thing happens Gehazi tries to push her away. Why would he? It was his job, to protect the presence of God that lived within Elisha.
When she reached out, she wasn’t just grabbing a hold of Elishia, she was reaching out and touching the very presence of God. She had no intention of letting go.
When things are desperate we learn quickly that the only place we can really go to find our answer is the presence of God. We need to make our way there and hold on.
Tranperancy…
Entonces ella dijo: «¿Acaso yo te pedí un hijo, señor mío? ¿Acaso no te dije: “No me engañes ni me des falsas esperanzas”?».
.. we can see here that she has been strong up until now but here she had a breakdown.. how many know that it is okay to show our weakness at times…
“This was your idea in the first place. You invited me to hope, to dream of having a son, and then this happened. I told you before you did it not to play games with me, and now I am bitterly disappointed.”

But even more amazing was her next phrase. In the midst of bitter distress, she said to the man of God, “As surely as the Lord lives and as you live, I will not leave you.” As devastated as she felt, she continued to trust and hope because she knew regardless of what would occur “It is well.“
I want to end with this …
32-37
En efecto, cuando Eliseo llegó, el niño estaba muerto, acostado en la cama del profeta.

… this is powerful here … don’t call a situation dead when God wants to give it life…
God restored her son back to her …. Why… it all started in the beginning of the this Chapter … you see this women had a relationship with God she was taking care of the presence of God … she knew the presemce of God in verse 9 I want to speak today to all the women … when our soul is good when our walk with God is good we can face any circumstance and we can declare Todo Esta Bien… It doesn’t matter what comes your way …

Está vestida de fortaleza y dignidad, y se ríe sin temor al futuro.
Cuando habla, sus palabras son sabias, y da órdenes con bondad.
Está atenta a todo lo que ocurre en su hogar, y no sufre las consecuencias de la pereza.
Sus hijos se levantan y la bendicen. Su marido la alaba:
«Hay muchas mujeres virtuosas y capaces en el mundo, ¡pero tú las superas a todas!».
El encanto es engañoso, y la belleza no perdura, pero la mujer que teme al Señor será sumamente alabada.
