Who here beleives this is the very Word of God we are holding in our hand?
I mean every word of it as the Word of God.
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,
This is the Word of God.
Does it mean we have to understand every word of it?

Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth. Avoid worthless, foolish talk that only leads to more godless behavior.
Does it mean we have to like every Word of it.
God dosent care if we like it, whether we like it or not dosent change the fact that its Gods Word.
The Creator of the universe, that means you and me too by the way.
What does one do if they dont agree with every word in the Bible.
Start agreeing with it!
Who here is anxiously awaiting the return of Jesus?
I wonder why He is taking so long?
I think i may have figured out a possible reason for His delay in returning.
The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.
The Lord dosent want anyone to go to hell!
I know some think that hell is a place for bad people.
But that actually isnt true at all, based on the Word of God.
What most people beleive is a lie.
That Good people go to heaven, bad people go to hell.
simple so many think.
Hell is a real place, The Bible describs it as a place of darkness.
A place where their is weeping, screaming, gnashing of teeth.
A place where their is torment.
and not a place where all the bad people spend eternity together in a mega room.
The Bible actually tells us that it will be a place of lonelyness.
I dont beleive anyone will see or know anyone in hell.
eternal punishment.
A place being shut off eternaly from God
A place described as being in chains of darkness
Do you know that the Bible says that all of the 5 senses are still very much intact for anyone in hell.
They still see, smell, taste, touch and hear.
a few verses from Gods Word.
But many Israelites—those for whom the Kingdom was prepared—will be thrown into outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
For God did not spare even the angels who sinned. He threw them into hell, in gloomy pits of darkness, where they are being held until the day of judgment.
“And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous will go into eternal life.”
“But cowards, unbelievers, the corrupt, murderers, the immoral, those who practice witchcraft, idol worshipers, and all liars—their fate is in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
“And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous will go into eternal life.”
They will be punished with eternal destruction, forever separated from the Lord and from his glorious power.
The wicked will go down to the grave.
This is the fate of all the nations who ignore God.
throwing the wicked into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

The sea gave up its dead, and death and the grave gave up their dead. And all were judged according to their deeds. Then death and the grave were thrown into the lake of fire. This lake of fire is the second death.
“Don’t be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
Then the devil, who had deceived them, was thrown into the fiery lake of burning sulfur, joining the beast and the false prophet. There they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
Any one here had the hell scared out of them yet?
Fear cant save anyone from hell, only Jesus can!
People dont go to hell because they are bad, mean or evil.
People go to hell because thay dont beleive and accept Jesus into their lives.
I understand,
Everyone beleive in Jesus.
You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror.

The devil himself believes in Jesus, and so does his demons yet they stand in trembeling of fear!
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
what does it mean to beleive in Jesus?
To beleive in Jesus is to be willing to trust Him for your eternal salvation.
I beleive that for Jesus to be savior in ones life He also has to be Lord of ones life as well.
I dont see anywhere in the Bible where Jesus can be savior and not be Lord of ones life.
To trust your life to Jesus.
example,
To put a bungee cord hooked on your back and jump off a cliff is a belielf that the rubber band will catch you and keep you from dying and hitting the bottom.
me, i wont ever put on a rubber band and jump because i dont beleive it will hold me.
To Beleive in Jesus, To beleive that He died on the cross to pay the price for your sins, and we all have sinned.
To beleive that Jesus went to the grave and arose on the third day.
Meaning that He defeated death.
To Beleive in Jesus enough to follow Him, To be His disciple.
To obey His commands and for His commands to not be burdensome to you.
To Follow and obey out of Love for Him and not out of duty or obligation.
Being baptized, becoming a church member wont keep anyone from going to hell.
A person that repents, meaning changes their direction from going theworlds way and for some even their own way to turn and go towards the Lord.
By beleiveing in Jesus and what He did on the cross.
By confessing your sin to Jesus and asking Him for forgivness.
This is the person that does not go to hell.
This is the one who has eternal life, who goes to heaven.
You see its just as easy for a good person to go to hell as it is for a evil person.
in short, good people dont go to heaven when they reach the end of their life here on earth, forgiven people do!
Why hasnt the Lord returned for the church yet?
I beleive we the church are responsible for the delay.
Acts 1:6-
6 So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”
7 He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority.
8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
9 And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight.
10 And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes,
11 and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”

8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
in vs 6-7 we see Jesus Promises the Kingdom
In vs 8 Jesus assigns a task for each disciple,
For each beleiver, The Great Commision.
In vs 9, Jesus ascended to heaven right before the disciples eyes.
in vs 10-11, we see the prophecy of Jesus return was given by two messengers, most likely angels due to the white robes.
6 So when the apostles were with Jesus, they kept asking him, “Lord, has the time come for you to free Israel and restore our kingdom?”
7 He replied, “The Father alone has the authority to set those dates and times, and they are not for you to know.
vs 6-7,
The disciples are still thinking in earthly things.
The disciples are thinking of themselves.
They are thinking of Israel.
One thing we do know is that one day Jesus will set up His Kingdom here on earth.
in vs 7 we see somewhat of a rebuke to the disciples from Jesus,
Only the Father knowsand sets those dates and times.
We like the disciples here think of earthly things and Jesus did promise us things.
Beleivers were promised 100 fold of what they have.
That they would rule over the world one day.
27 Then Peter said in reply, “See, we have left everything and followed you. What then will we have?” 28 Jesus said to them, “Truly, I say to you, in the new world, when the Son of Man will sit on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands, for my name’s sake, will receive a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life. 30 But many who are first will be last, and the last first.
10 “If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities. 11 And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven? 12 And if you are not faithful with other people’s things, why should you be trusted with things of your own?
Beleivers will receive 100 times what they gave up,
We will receive authority over earth
Beleivers look forward to this.
I beleive that beleivers shouldnt be focused on these promises.
To many today have craveings for postions and influence,
authority and power
money and possenions.
reconnition and prestige, rule and reign.
The Beleivers concern should be Service and Minsitry.
Proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ meeting the needs of this world.
The needs of this world is Jesus!!!
We can all say Amen to that but can we say the Gospel to this world?
Will we share the gospel?
20 One day the Pharisees asked Jesus, “When will the Kingdom of God come?” Jesus replied, “The Kingdom of God can’t be detected by visible signs.
Jesus is telling us in verse 7 to not focus on prophecy and the setting of dates but to focus on the returning of Him and heaven.
and even with this focus we shouldnt allow this to get in the way of completing the Task that Jesus gave us.
What is the task,
Shareing the Gospel of Jesus.
8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Power, Holy Spirit, Witnesses, Great Commision.
Jesus has assigned beleivers with a task.
The Disciples would receive Power. The Holy Spirit
Jesus said Himself that they would receive power
Where would this power come from.
The Holy Spirit.
Note something here.
Not the power of the earth.
Not the power of postion, fame, wealth, politics, reconigtion, schooling or education.
The only power that will enable us to carry out the task given to us by Jesus is the Power of the Holy Spirit.
The Power has to be Spirtual, Super natural.
Of God Himself, Of His Presence, Of His Spirit.
Their is no greater power that the Power of God Himself!
Once the disciples received this Power they never ever again asked anything about earthly power again.
Nothing else was ever needed.
Nothing else could ever satisfy them.
Only Gods Spirit can satisfy a person.
The point here,
All beleivers were given a task to carry out here on earth by the Lord Jesus Himself.
But this is a problem.
The Beleiver dosent have the power to carry it out.
The Power of God is needed.
His Spirit is needed.
Bothe The Spirit of God and the Power of God is promised to every beleiver.
The Holy Spirit comes upon a beleiver as equipping power.
The purpose is to equip the beleiver to carry out the task given to them by Jesus.
The Task,
To Tell people about Jesus!
When we see the word world here in these verses, it is making refrence to your world. each person here is living right where the Lord wants you to be living in.
One day they will stand before God and say I
Thats your world hHe has you in.
Heres the thought,
how many people in your world will go to heaven because you told them about Jesus,
or
How many people that are in your world will go to hell for all eternity because you didnt carry out your task that Jesus gave you?
What would this world look like if each beleiver did what Jesus commanded?
I dont know what it would look like,
I cant even imagine, but I do know this much.
It wouldnt look like it does today!
Gods Word says its time,
Its time to carry out the task given by the Lord.
Its time to witness to the lost.
It begine with a prayer,
pray that the Lord would lead you to people, and pray to receive this Power!
Sharing is a real easy thing to do with His Power!
Without His Power, well your on your own.....
Some will say what do i say?
If you are saved, you know waht you are saved from, how you got saved and what your saved from.
you also know what has happened in your life since becoming saved,
I call this the Glory story, and every beleiver has one and no two stories are alike,
share yours with the world your in!
The only way you cant share Jesus is if you dont have Jesus to share, and this can be taken care of today!
I would love to introduce you to Him today!
Do you know with certainty that if you died today that you would spend eternity with Jesus, if you do then you have a task.
If you dont know for certain that you would go to heaven today if you died
I would like to lead you in a prayer today to ask Jesus into your heart.
This is a decision that has eternal effects!
