Galatians 4:4-9

But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, 5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. 6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. 7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

8 Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods. 9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

Why Go Back?

What's back there? (sin, iniquity, pain, suffering, disease, DEATH)

What does the Word say about looking back?

Luke 9:62

And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

NO MAN!!!!!! Why Go Back?

After looking back you are not fit for the Kingdom of God. According to Galatians 4:4, God sent forth his Son when the time was right. He already had the plan. He already knew the time to send his Son. What was God's plan for you imediately after salvation?

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

We are a new creation. Gods plan for us after salvation is CHANGE. If we will but believe, he promises us rest and peace and healing and joy. He will always be with us, he will never leave nor forsake us. Why Go Back? After he has taken your load, your pain your suffering, Why Go Back? Why would anyone want to turn their back on God. I'll tell you why. Because the enemy is good at what he does.

2 Corinthians 5:6-10

6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: 7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Whether present or absent to be accepted of him. At some point everyone of us will stand face to face with Jesus Christ. We will stand face to face and answer for our actions. Why Go Back? Why risk your salvation? Why take a chance? Why Go Back?

As brother Tim mentioned, the sister who passed last week in her sleep layed down with full intentions of waking up the next morning. She had plans the next day to awake and carry on as she always had. Those who went to work on the morning of September 11, 2001 atop the twin towers had plans for lunch, maybe a date night with their spouse, maybe their sons first ball game. None saw the plan of the enemy. Not a single fireman that did thier job and charged up the stairs on that morning planned on the building coming down around them. None saw the plan of the enemy. Why Go Back?

Revelation 3:1-6

1 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. 2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. 3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. 4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. 5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. 6 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

WHITE- Spotless, without blemish a symbol of holiness. The Church at Sardis was a dead Church. Outwardly a white washed beautiful appearance but inwardly dead, decaying and unclean. A church full of hypocrites. Claiming holiness and living a backslidden seperated life. According to Revelation 3:4 just a few of the Church at Sardis would walk with or be present with the Lord. Quickly and unexpectadly will he come. They had the same oppurtunity, they heard the same message, they had the same measure of faith. Revelation 3:3 said to remember, stand fast and repent. Stand fast, endure, hold on. Why Go Back? Are you ready tonight. Why Go Back? When he comes are you ready?
