Turning point

a time at which a decisive change occurs, especially one with beneficial results.

When I Decide to No Longer be Captive to My Captivity

ESVComfort, comfort my people, says your God.
Comfort: to comfort v. — to alleviate sorrow or distress; give emotional strength to.*God is speaking, but He is calling on someone to speak for Him. The first 39 Chapters are grim and gruesome. How are you to respond in a difficult time? How are we to speak the Word when people are in captivity
ESVOn the willows there we hung up our lyres.
ESVFor there our captors required of us songs, and our tormentors, mirth, saying, “Sing us one of the songs of Zion!”
I Should never be complacent in my captivity, but I must mature to allow God to Can you be comfort me in my captivity.
ESVFor the Lord comforts Zion; he comforts all her waste places and makes her wilderness like Eden, her desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the voice of song.

When I Decide that the Conflict is Over

When I Decided that Peace Belongs to Me

How is the Messenger supposed to speak for God *Speak tenderly = Speak lovely Literally translated : Speak from the heart and to the heart. heart (internal feature) n. — the locus of a person’s thoughts (mind), volition, emotions, and knowledge of right from wrong (conscience) understood as the heart.*Warfare is accomplished = A constant conflict a never ending battle The Battle is Over = Peace *Her iniquity is pardoned =-*She has revived double for her sins Peace Established Pardoned SecuredPayment Made This Has been done by a Person Double=Now that cursing was seen as almost accomplished, Israel could have a new start. To receive double for all her sins does not mean to be punished beyond what she deserves but in keeping with what she deserves. The point is that she has now received “full” or “sufficient” punishment for all her sins (cf. “double” in ; ).Double:Cruel slaughter and captivity at the hands of the Babylonians was sufficient payment for past sins; so someday after worldwide dispersion, Israel will return to her land in peace and in the glory of Messiah’s kingdom
ESVSpeak tenderly to Jerusalem, and cry to her that her warfare is ended, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she has received from the Lord’s hand double for all her sins.

When I Accept my Pardon

When I Decide to Accept the Payment

ESVSpeak tenderly to Jerusalem, and cry to her that her warfare is ended, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she has received from the Lord’s hand double for all her sins.

When I Decide to Accept the Payment

When I Decide to Decrease

ESVA voice cries: “In the wilderness prepare the way of the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
We are Just a voice Who’s Voice ? There is a voice but no name It doesn't matter matter It doesn't matter who is speaking but what is being spoken No recognitionIt’s not me that matters , its Him that matters
ESVSo they said to him, “Who are you? We need to give an answer to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?”
ESVHe said, “I am the voice of one crying out in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way of the Lord,’ as the prophet Isaiah said.”
It’s not about me but about the one that I’m proclaiming Ministry doesn't have to have your name on it.
ESVA voice cries: “In the wilderness prepare the way of the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
In the wilderness make a way for Him
NLTListen! It’s the voice of someone shouting, “Clear the way through the wilderness for the Lord! Make a straight highway through the wasteland for our God!
ESVEvery valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low; the uneven ground shall become level, and the rough places a plain.
ESVAnd the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”
ESVA voice says, “Cry!” And I said, “What shall I cry?” All flesh is grass, and all its beauty is like the flower of the field.

When I Decide to Accept The Word

ESVThe grass withers, the flower fades when the breath of the Lord blows on it; surely the people are grass.

The Guarantee

ESVThe grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.
ESVForever, O Lord, your word is firmly fixed in the heavens.
ESVYour faithfulness endures to all generations; you have established the earth, and it stands fast.
ESVBy your appointment they stand this day, for all things are your servants.
ESVbut the word of the Lord remains forever.” And this word is the good news that was preached to you.
ESV“And as for me, this is my covenant with them,” says the Lord: “My Spirit that is upon you, and my words that I have put in your mouth, shall not depart out of your mouth, or out of the mouth of your offspring, or out of the mouth of your children’s offspring,” says the Lord, “from this time forth and forevermore.”
Background on the Prophet Isiah He is what we call the 5th gospel Because He so accurately described the birth , life, death and Resurrection and second coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ It was the prophets responsibility to Preach and Prophesy to a backsliden nation The book of Isaiah is really broken up into two sections...The first section is prophesying to the people to repent , to stop their wayward way of living judgment was on the way but the people of God ignored Gods warning. So Destruction did come and Now Isiah’s primary job was now to bring comfort to these same group of people.
He will tend his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in his arms; he will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with young.

When I Decide to accept that God doesn't Owe me anything

ESVComfort, comfort my people, says your God.
ESVSpeak tenderly to Jerusalem, and cry to her that her warfare is ended, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she has received from the Lord’s hand double for all her sins.
ESVA voice cries: “In the wilderness prepare the way of the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
ESV
Why do you say, O Jacob, and speak, O Israel, “My way is hidden from the Lord, and my right is disregarded by my God”?
What are the people of God saying ??
In the Hebrew its in a perfect tense Why do you KEEP SAYING Why do you KEEP SPEAKING Israel’s Complaint = God doesn’t see me, God doesn’t care They feel as if God is hiding from them , they feel like God is disregarding them . They feel like they have a right to be heard by God

When I Decide to Remember

ESV
Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.

When I Decide to accept that God has perfect timing.

Everlasting God of time His timing is perfect I know thy Woks He recognize how they feel but doesn't affirm how they. feel. Isaiah isn’t trying to giving them revaluation but trying to give them recollection You should know this ...this isn’t anything new = Need to be reminded of who our God is. God is Eternal=
ESV
Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.
He is not bound by calander or clocksThe Lord is the everlasting God, His timing is perfect To early and to late isn’t in His vocabulary He will show up before the trouble starts He will show up while your in the middle of the trouble 3 Hebrew boys He will show up after the fact as well.

A Pastor Has to Remind that God is God and your not

ESV
Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.

When I Decide to Accept His Divine Design

He is the Creator = made everything

The Creator of the ends of the earth. He is sovereign = The one who creates a thing is more powerful that the things that he has created.
ESV
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
ESV
And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
A Pastor Has to Remind You that God is Sustainer Omnipotent
ESV
Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.
Faints not neither gets weary thank a God for what He doesn’t do No searching His understanding- He knows what He will do God is Omnipotent = we know this based on what God doesn’t do
ESV
Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.
He does not faint or grow weary; God is Omniscient his understanding is unsearchable He is all wise He always knows what He is doing
ESV
Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable.
ESV
He said this to test him, for he himself knew what he would do.
He Knows what He’s going to do God’s Imparted strength He gives strength to those that are weary

When You Decide that you want to be Qualified for Power and Strength

ESV
He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.
He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. This is the reason why you feel like its to much for you, because it is Your not as strong as you think that you are All it takes is one phone call All it takes is one accident
ESV
Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted;
Youth depicts someone at the height the apex of their strength = they will faint and be wearyYoung depicts those choice, hand picked individuals , Olympics, Best of the Best = they will fall exhausted
ESV
ESVFor the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

When you decide to WAIT ON THE LORD!!

ESV
but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
Renew: to reestablish on a new, to make like new
Isaiah 40:11 ESV
He will tend his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in his arms; he will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with young.
ESV
Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!
God gives strength to those that Worship Him God gives strength to those who acknowledges their weaknesses God gives strength to those who are determined to wait on Him.
ESV
And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
He will give us renewed strength Youth = life vitality and strength Young men chosen for athlictic copations and was God will give us strength as strength is neeed Progress through decent. = Mount up Run Walk = This is the goal , that I learned how to walk
