Years ago, the Tennessee Valley Authority decided to “flood” the entire town of Butler, Tennessee, promising to move everyone to a newly built community. The valley became Watauga Lake, and the village was abandoned and covered with water. While waiting to move, do you think the people of Butler remodeled their homes? Did they build any additions to their houses?  Repair shingles or replace guttering? Of course not.   Why bother?   The same attitude would come over some of us if we knew the Lord was coming on the last day of 2007. We’d quit our jobs, get ourselves ready, and just sit down and wait for Him.
