I heard about a man once who wanted to bein jogging, but he needed new running shoes. So he went out to the local shoe store and began to look through their selection. They had fancy brand-name pairs and inexpensive no-name pairs. There were shoes with flashing lights, shoes with shocks to cushion his feet, and shoes with pedometers to measure how far he had run. After looking for some time, the would-be jogger finally found a pair that he really liked… but he was confused about one thing. So he called over the saleswoman and asked, “What is this small pocket on the side of the shoe?” “Ah… “ She answered… “That pocket is exactly the right size to carry a quarter when you are jogging.” “But why would I need a quarter?” the man wondered. “Well,” the saleswoman replied, “That way, when you realize that you have run too far and cannot possibly go further, you can call home and ask someone to come and rescue you.”
