Joshua 24:15–16 NIV
But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” Then the people answered, “Far be it from us to forsake the Lord to serve other gods!
2 Kings 20:17–19 ESV
Behold, the days are coming, when all that is in your house, and that which your fathers have stored up till this day, shall be carried to Babylon. Nothing shall be left, says the Lord. And some of your own sons, who will come from you, whom you will father, shall be taken away, and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.” Then Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “The word of the Lord that you have spoken is good.” For he thought, “Why not, if there will be peace and security in my days?”

Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, “Hear the word of the Lord: The time will surely come when everything in your palace, and all that your predecessors have stored up until this day, will be carried off to Babylon. Nothing will be left, says the Lord. And some of your descendants, your own flesh and blood who will be born to you, will be taken away, and they will become eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.” “The word of the Lord you have spoken is good,” Hezekiah replied. For he thought, “Will there not be peace and security in my lifetime?”
Key verse:
Joshua 24:15–16 ESV
And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Then the people answered, “Far be it from us that we should forsake the Lord to serve other gods,
Genesis 17:1–9 ESV
When Abram was ninety-nine years old the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am God Almighty; walk before me, and be blameless, that I may make my covenant between me and you, and may multiply you greatly.” Then Abram fell on his face. And God said to him, “Behold, my covenant is with you, and you shall be the father of a multitude of nations. No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham, for I have made you the father of a multitude of nations. I will make you exceedingly fruitful, and I will make you into nations, and kings shall come from you. And I will establish my covenant between me and you and your offspring after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your offspring after you. And I will give to you and to your offspring after you the land of your sojournings, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession, and I will be their God.” And God said to Abraham, “As for you, you shall keep my covenant, you and your offspring after you throughout their generations.
2 KINGS 1

Deuteronomy 30:19–20 NKJV
I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.”

1 Samuel 1:1 NKJV
Now there was a certain man of Ramathaim Zophim, of the mountains of Ephraim, and his name was Elkanah the son of Jeroham, the son of Elihu, the son of Tohu, the son of Zuph, an Ephraimite.
1st samuel 1:1
Now there was a certain man of Ramathaim Zophim, of the mountains of Ephraim, and his name was Elkanah the son of Jeroham, the son of Elihu, the son of Tohu, the son of Zuph, an Ephraimite.
This story is centered around a man that many of us do not even know.
Yes, we have heard the “giant slayer” (David) or Samson. ETC.
But, hardly anyone knows who is Elkanah is.
Elkanah is a normal guy. He is not high profile, but he shows up and makes a huge impact on this world and earth and his family. which ultamitly touches the whole Kingdom of God.
Four things in the world that you need to consider:
Things that can never be repaired
A. the sun and the moon and the stars
2. Things that cannot be repaired.
A. spilled milk cannot go bakck
B. said something you should not have said.
3. Somethings if given a chance, will repair themselves.
A.Kids have coodies, they do not like boys/girls, but as they develop it gets repaired.
4. something broken things in life go from bad to worse, unless God heals/repair them.
Elkanah
Only gets one verse in the bible, as a matter of fact he is only know by his famous wife.
The bible says, “Now there was a certain man”
spilled milk

what kind of enviroment was it?
That was the the time when the judges ruled.
(explain)
There was no king, no rules, no laws.
Everyone did what was right in their own eyes.
as the times we live in now:

This is the kind of enviroment that Elkanah lived in.
El - God in O.T. Kanah - Purshased or possesed.
In a world where eveyone did what was right in their own eyes .
But Elkanah - a God possessed man steps into this world.
Bible says eli was fat ( inundando/ overwelmed ) fleshly and he was blind.
no vision.
Bible said he has two sons:
1 Samuel 2:12 ESV
Now the sons of Eli were worthless men. They did not know the Lord.
1st samuel
Bible said they were so wicked.
Your kids can be in the church and yet not know God.
MALDICIONES Y BENDICIONES GENERACIONALES
Many times we think simply taking our kids to church is good enough, we think giving them a better life than you had is good enough. but there are still roots in your life that you have to be set free from.
We are focused more on the blessings of God and serve God more of being a benefit.
Many of people this time are sacrificing the future generations for peace and prosperity in their time.
we are more concerned with our self, and wants and desires and gains, and we say we are blessed in the U.S. But sometimes prosperity is a subduction to get you away from the things of God because we get the job that pays more so we buy more things that take us away from God and what he has called us to do, so sometimes it is not the blessings of God but sometimes the blessings of the enemy.
2 Kings 20:16–19 NIV

The bible said that elkanah would go to the temple year after year, in this envoriment Elkanah a
“God possessed man” Goes to the temple.
1- consistence - That is something as parents that we lack.
1 Samuel 4:18 ESV
As soon as he mentioned the ark of God, Eli fell over backward from his seat by the side of the gate, and his neck was broken and he died, for the man was old and heavy. He had judged Israel forty years.
There was problems in the world, church, and even at home.
Bible says that Peninnah provoked Hannah because she was barren, and wanted to give birth. (problems)
There was disputes at home and confrontations
bible says
Year after year this man went up from his town to worship and sacrifice to the Lord Almighty at Shiloh, where Hophni and Phinehas, the two sons of Eli, were priests of the Lord.
1 Samuel 1:3–6 NIV
Year after year this man went up from his town to worship and sacrifice to the Lord Almighty at Shiloh, where Hophni and Phinehas, the two sons of Eli, were priests of the Lord. Whenever the day came for Elkanah to sacrifice, he would give portions of the meat to his wife Peninnah and to all her sons and daughters. But to Hannah he gave a double portion because he loved her, and the Lord had closed her womb. Because the Lord had closed Hannah’s womb, her rival kept provoking her in order to irritate her.
1st samuel 1:3-
*With all the problems going on Elkanah said we are still going to the temple despite all things me and my house shall serve the lord.
Hannah had to understand that there are things that only God has repair.
Now Hannah gets possessed and goes to the temple and cries out to God for the first time.
The key to the story was there was a man who was possessed and it transferd to his wife.
God answered her cry and gives her child.
Hannah takes Samuel to the temple to show him where she was changes.
Now Samuel was possessed and becomes the next prophet and was the one who anointed king David.
YOU CAN TURN THE CURSES INTO BLESSINGS THAT ARE PASSED DOWN

1 Corinthians 4:14–17 ESV
I do not write these things to make you ashamed, but to admonish you as my beloved children. For though you have countless guides in Christ, you do not have many fathers. For I became your father in Christ Jesus through the gospel. I urge you, then, be imitators of me. That is why I sent you Timothy, my beloved and faithful child in the Lord, to remind you of my ways in Christ, as I teach them everywhere in every church.
Proverbs 4:1–4 ESV
Hear, O sons, a father’s instruction, and be attentive, that you may gain insight, for I give you good precepts; do not forsake my teaching. When I was a son with my father, tender, the only one in the sight of my mother, he taught me and said to me, “Let your heart hold fast my words; keep my commandments, and live.
