SPIRIT INDWELLING THE WHOLE CHURCH
As in the case of Aaron of old, the ointment poured upon the head of Christ trickles down to the very skirts of his garments, and thereby he gives peace,-peace by the fruit of the lips, and peace by the fruit of the heart, unto all them that love Jesus Christ in sincerity [MTP, Spurgeon, Vol. 1, p. 652].
While Spurgeon applies this scriptural illustration to peace, the illustration might well be used for the Spirit’s indwelling the whole church.
