(NKJV) 1 Now the Lord had said to Abram:
Promises to Abram
Abram and Sarai
12 Now the Lord had said to Abram:

1 Now athe LORD said to Abram,

“1Go forth from your country,

And from your relatives

And from your father’s house,

To the land which I will show you;

2 And aI will make you a great nation,

And bI will bless you,

And make your name great;

And so 1cyou shall be a blessing;

3 And aI will bless those who bless you,

And the one who 1curses you I will 2curse.

bAnd in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.”

4 So Abram went forth as the LORD had spoken to him; and aLot went with him. Now Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.

1 12 God told Abram: “Leave your country, your family, and your father’s home for a land that I will show you.
“Get out of your country,
2–3 I’ll make you a great nation
From your family

And from your father’s house,
and bless you.
To a land that I will show you.
I’ll make you famous;
To a land that I will show you.
2 I will make you a great nation;
you’ll be a blessing.
I will bless you And make your name great;
I’ll bless those who bless you;
And make your name great;
those who curse you I’ll curse.
And you shall be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you,
All the families of the Earth
And I will curse him who curses you;
will be blessed through you.”
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
4–6 So Abram left just as God said, and Lot left with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he left Haran.
