Pull Yourself Up By Your Bootstraps- NOT

9 Did I not command you? Be strong and courageous! Do not fear or be dismayed

The Command
Is this something that we have to muster ourselves up to?
God is commanding us to do this
would mustering up courage cause us to be prideful?
so where is this source of courage come from?

The I’s of God

read V 1-6
What God commands he provides
1 I am giving to them
2 I have given it to you
3 I promised
4 I was with Moses
5 I will be with you
6 I will not fail you
7 I will not forsake you
8 I swore to their ancestors to give them
Grace = God giving us what we need when we need it
Un-merited, Un-deserved, Un-earned favor fromGod
Grace comes when we humble ourselves, and receive it
God is going to wipe out the enemy
give the land to Israel
as they advance

To observe the whole law

study to show approved unto God rightly dividing the word of truth

the word of God is to have a controlling part of every thing in your life

Meditate on it day and night

Observe diligently all that is written

live like there is 10000 angels around you

Internalize scripture when you read it
live like God is in control
trust in God for everything
don’t worry about tomorrow it’s in Gods hands
live like this body and life are not your own
Go into all the world and make disciples
