The Command
Take 12 men (one form each tribe)
Send them back into the midst of the Jordan
not “Hey on your way over.
pick up a stone.”

You can tell future generations of God greatness.
Reminders are important because their journey is over.
And neither is ours.

Lessons from the Memorial
When God brings you to a significant place in life, where He is going to do something great, it may not look like you expected it would.
Sometimes the most meaningful reminders come out of the midst of great trials.
Sometime the most meaningful reminders require the most patience.
God made a promise to deliver them from Egypt to the Promised Land
Though the journey was long and treacherous, God never forgot His promise.
God has promised to deliver us from the bondage of this world.
He has already delivered us from the bondage of sin
(Jesus)
He is with us during our time in the wilderness.
He will bring us into the Promised Land.
(Heaven)
When His time is right.
