7 Bendiciones de Guardar la Palabra de Dios
Salmo 119:49-56
49 “Acuérdate de la palabra dada a tu siervo, en la cual me has hecho esperar. 50 Ella es mi consuelo en mi aflicción, porque tu dicho me ha vivificado. 51 Los soberbios se han burlado mucho de mí, pero no me he apartado de tu Ley. 52 Me acordé, Jehová,de tus juicios antiguos, y me consolé. 53 Horror se apoderó de mía causa de los inicuos que abandonan tu Ley. 54 Cánticos fueron para mí tus estatutos
en la casa en donde fui extranjero. 55 Me acordé en la noche de tu nombre, Jehová, y guardé tu Ley. 56 Estas bendiciones tuve porque guardé tus mandamientos.”
Versículo 56 es el resumen de toda la estrofa: “Estas bendiciones tuve porque guardé tus mandamientos.”

"How much this can describe our approach to our obedience to God! Almost all we do is from mixed motives. Yet which motive is overriding? Do we obey because we fear God's wrath and judgment? Do we feel He will break our leg or burn down our house if we disobey? Do we feel that Christianity is just a set of rules to be obeyed and our satisfaction comes from doing a good job of keeping rules?
"The result of such an attitude will only breed fear and guilt. Fear comes from any failure to obey, and there will be such failure. Guilt comes from many sources, such as finding there was a law you had been failing to obey. Any failure at perfect obedience can lead to regarding some laws as more important than others. All this can lead to a disregard of others who do not keep laws as well as we do (Luk_18:1). It can lead us to giving more attention to the minute details and neglecting the major virtues God desires us to have (Mat_23:23). We become ridiculous gnat strainers and camel swallowers (Mat_23:24).
"We should obey God because we love Him. We obey because He has done so much for us and we have done so little for Him. We obey because love is never content to accept but must always give. Jesus said, 'If you love Me, you will do what I command' (Joh_14:15). We then come to realize that our disobedience not only breaks the laws of God, it also breaks the heart of God. How often they rebelled against Him in the wilderness and grieved Him in the desert! (Psa_78:40).
"Such obedience is far fuller, richer, and freer than can ever come from a legal motivation. Imagine a woman who is a nurse and a mother. She may work at a hospital all day caring for the sick. When she has worked eight hours, she goes home. Upon arriving home, she finds her child is seriously ill. She will then give her child the same care she gives the hospital patients. However, when she has cared for her child for eight hours, she will not quit. She gives care no one can buy. The difference is the motivation.
"What is your major motivation? Seek to know God better, and you will find yourself obeying out of love. It will become 'richer, fuller, deeper'and will become 'sweeter as the years go by.'"
Full Obedience / Mary Murray tells this on herself: "My dear mother must have chuckled at the little girl who obeyed 'halfway.'Mom loved to have her house just right. On Saturday, when she asked me to dust the furniture frames and the delicate glassware, I stared in awe at the task before me. I dusted as fast as I could, going 'around'the glassware; not picking them up and missing spots here and there on the furniture. Sometimes I would have to redust after 'inspection.'She was teaching me to 'obey right'the first time and to use self-discipline."
Efesios 1:1-14 habla de las bendiciones celestiales que Dios nos brinda por medio de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.
3 Bendito sea el Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que nos bendijo con toda bendición espiritual en los lugares celestiales en Cristo,
4 según nos escogió en él antes de la fundación del mundo, para que fuésemos santos y sin mancha delante de él,
5 en amor habiéndonos predestinado para ser adoptados hijos suyos por medio de Jesucristo, según el puro afecto de su voluntad,
6 para alabanza de la gloria de su gracia, con la cual nos hizo aceptos en el Amado,
7 en quien tenemos redención por su sangre, el perdón de pecados(B) según las riquezas de su gracia,
8 que hizo sobreabundar para con nosotros en toda sabiduría e inteligencia,
9 dándonos a conocer el misterio de su voluntad, según su beneplácito, el cual se había propuesto en sí mismo,
10 de reunir todas las cosas en Cristo, en la dispensación del cumplimiento de los tiempos, así las que están en los cielos, como las que están en la tierra.
11 En él asimismo tuvimos herencia, habiendo sido predestinados conforme al propósito del que hace todas las cosas según el designio de su voluntad,
12 a fin de que seamos para alabanza de su gloria, nosotros los que primeramente esperábamos en Cristo.
13 En él también vosotros, habiendo oído la palabra de verdad, el evangelio de vuestra salvación, y habiendo creído en él, fuisteis sellados con el Espíritu Santo de la promesa,
14 que es las arras de nuestra herencia hasta la redención de la posesión adquirida, para alabanza de su gloria.
ü Deut 28 las bendiciones corporales de obedecer la ley de Dios.
ü Salmo 119:1-8: Bienaventurados los íntegros de camino, los que andan en la Ley de Jehová. 2 Bienaventurados los que guardan sus testimonios y con todo el corazón lo buscan, 3 pues no hacen maldad los que andan en sus caminos. 4 Tú encargaste que tus mandamientos sean guardados con esmero. 5 ¡Ojalá fueran estables mis caminos para guardar tus estatutos! 6 Entonces no sería yo avergonzado, cuando atendiera a todos tus mandamientos. 7 Te alabaré con rectitud de corazón cuando aprenda tus justos juicios. 8 ¡Tus estatutos guardaré! ¡No me abandones enteramente!”
ü Deut 30:14-20 “Pues muy cerca de ti está la palabra, en tu boca y en tu corazón (Rom 10:6-8), para que la cumplas 15 "Mira, yo he puesto delante de ti hoy la vida y el bien, la muerte y el mal, 16 porque yo te mando hoy que ames a Jehová, tu Dios, que andes en sus caminos y guardes sus mandamientos, sus estatutos y sus decretos, para que vivas y seas multiplicado, y Jehová, tu Dios, te bendiga en la tierra a la cual vas a entrar para tomarla en posesión. 17 Pero si tu corazón se aparta y no obedeces, te dejas extraviar, te inclinas a dioses ajenos y los sirves, 18 yo os declaro hoy que de cierto pereceréis; no prolongaréis vuestros días sobre la tierra adonde vais a entrar para tomarla en posesión tras pasar el Jordán. 19 A los cielos y a la tierra llamo por testigos hoy contra vosotros, de que os he puesto delante la vida y la muerte, la bendición y la maldición; escoge, pues, la vida, para que vivas tú y tu descendencia, 20 amando a Jehová, tu Dios, atendiendo a su voz y siguiéndolo a él, pues él es tu vida, así como la prolongación de tus días, a fin de que habites sobre la tierra que juró Jehová a tus padres, Abraham, Isaac y Jacob, que les había de dar".
