Wherever women in the church wear special head coverings as symbols of submission to male spiritual leadership (as is the case even today in many congregations), then Paul’s directive still applies.  It would be just as wrong for them to quit wearing the covering in outspoken rejection of male headship as for the women in Corinth to have done so.
