耶穌進前來，對他們說：「天上地下所有的權柄都賜給我了。 所以，你們要去，使萬民作我的門徒，奉父、子、聖靈的名給他們施洗， 凡我所吩咐你們的，都教導他們遵守。看哪，我天天與你們同在，直到世代的終結。」

有一大群人和耶穌同行。他轉過來對他們說： 「無論甚麼人到我這裏來，若不愛我勝過愛自己的父母、妻子、兒女、兄弟、姊妹，甚至自己的性命，就不能作我的門徒。 凡不背著自己的十字架來跟從我的，也不能作我的門徒。 你們哪一個要蓋一座樓，不先坐下來計算費用，看能不能蓋成？ 免得安了地基，不能蓋成，看見的人都笑話他，說： 『這個人開了工，卻不能完工。』 或是一個王出去和別的王打仗，豈不先坐下來酌量，他能不能用一萬兵去抵抗那領二萬兵來攻打他的嗎？ 若是不能，他就趁敵人還遠的時候，派使者去談和平的條件。 這樣，你們無論甚麼人，若不撇下一切所有的，就不能作我的門徒。」
「鹽本是好的；鹽若失了味，怎能叫它再鹹呢？ 或用在田裏，或堆在糞裏，都不合適，只好丟在外面。有耳可聽的，就應當聽！」

突然他轉身
和他們說，

但大部人都以爲他來世爲了推翻當時的羅馬政權
其實耶穌來是要爲世人死在十字架上

所以耶穌走的道路就是一條受苦的道路

他們不是跟隨耶穌
所以耶穌要和他們搞清楚

而是他們如果真正要做他的門徒的話, 他們需要要有一定的心理準備

當基督徒是要有一定的心理準備
門徒就是學生，就是學習的人，就是聽哪位教導他的人的指示和接受他的權柄。

這句說話對很多人來說是很震驚
原文是“恨”

因爲聖經教訓我們要孝敬父母，
要愛我們的妻子好像基督愛教會一樣

耶穌也說讓小孩子到我這裏來, 並且祝福他們
所以這裏聖經不是說要我們恨我們的家人

而是我們對耶穌基督的愛要勝過對他們的愛
耶穌基督要成爲我們首要愛的對象

其他的關係是次要。

但很多時，我們愛我的妻子，我們的家人多過愛神。我們花很多時間在車上，車他們到學校，去打球，去學這樣學那樣， 但我們卻用很少時間去與他們一起禱告，用很少時間去訓練他們，使他們更愛神更認識神。
我們很明顯的愛我們的孩子但不愛神。他們變成我們的首要關心的對象，變成我們生命中最重要的，如果我們是這樣的話，我們不配做一個基督徒。
But very often we love our wives, kids, families more than we love God. We spend more time (in the car) driving them to school, games, lessons and activities than we do in praying and discipling them to know and love God.
Because we know the bible teaches us to love our father and mother
But for some may be happy
Because they hate their family
So they would be happy to be Christians
It is not like that

Because we know the bible teaches us to love our father and mother
The bible teaches us to love our wives
Jesus also love children and blessed them
We clearly and obviously love our kids and not God. They became our first, priority, important and our focus… then we are not his disciple
So it is not really to hate them, but to love them more than loving Christ
Our love to him is to be so great that our love towards our family pales in comparison.
He is our first priority
Other relationships take second place.

You focus not only their physical needs, intellectual needs, social needs but also their spiritual needs and growth and development

對我們來說，愛耶穌勝過愛家人可能是很簡單
但在某些國家，當我們叫一個人去離開罪惡，相信主的時候，這就是意味他們要放棄自己的家庭，當他的宗教信仰與自己家庭不一樣的時候，他們就會叫他們離開自己的家。
所以耶穌叫相信的人要做好這個心理準備，他們不要愛世上的其他人多過愛他自己。

就是說當我們計劃的時候，我們定下目標的時候是爲了自己還是爲了耶穌？

But we are to submit our dreams goals and ambitions under our love for Jesus
It means when we make plans, ambitions, are we do it for the love of Jesus or the love of self or families?

We see many true followers of Jesus in Syrian other countries, they followed him even though they are threatened to be killed, even though they are taken away from families. They are true followers of Jesus.
To his disciples Jesus is saying “Give me all of you. I don’t want so much of your time and so much of your money and so much of your work. I want you.”

有一個牧師教導有四種的悔改
1）教義的悔改 （Doctrinal conversion）— 接受耶穌的教導，
2）情感的悔改 （Emotional conversion）— 感到他的愛，羨慕耶穌和其他基督徒
3）道德的悔改 （Moral conversion） — 認同耶穌的道德標準並嘗試跟從
4）完全的悔改 （Total conversion）— 是整個人的思想，心思意念，志向都改變
救恩是完全的，耶穌不是救我們部分
他不滿足我們只將我們的十分一的金錢交在他的手裏，或將我們一週的一天交給他
他要我們的全部。
然後耶穌在第34-35節說

但他靠聖靈的能力，跟隨上帝
他雖然生命很破碎但上帝不會放棄

我們心靈中有多少過疤痕
上帝拯救
上帝寬恕
壓傷的蘆葦，他不折斷，
將殘的燈火，他不吹滅，
直到他使公理得勝。
他邀請我們來到他面前
