1Now the LORD appeared to him by the boaks of Mamre, while he was sitting at the tent door in the heat of the day.
Abraham lies about Sarah his wife
God prevents Abimelech from touching Sarah
Tells Abimelech in a dream he was dead man
But God came to Abimelech in a dream of the night, and said to him, “Behold, you are a dead man because of the woman whom you have taken, for she is married.”
God protects Sarah and Abraham from Sarah becoming pregnant.
God knows Abimelech’s intent or his heart and prevents him from sinning against God. Just as God knows my heart so I don’t have to convince Him of my motives.
Then God said to him in the dream, “Yes, I know that in the integrity of your heart you have done this, and I also kept you from sinning against Me; therefore I did not let you touch her.
6 Then God said to him in the dream, “Yes, I know that in the integrity of your heart you have done this, and I also kept you from sinning against Me; therefore I did not let you touch her.
