Bronze basin

Thought: No form given for the laver, just make it, other uses in the bible mean its just a bowl shaped pot

Thought: preist would pass the sacrifice and go to the basin, wash, and then go back to sacrifice animal or on into the tent of meeting.

thought: the bronze basin was made from mirrors of women who served at the entrance.

the women use to look at themselves in these bronze mirrors, i think we could maybe say, see if this resonates with you, if not then this is just me, but, they saw themselves through the identity of being guilty, of judgement

Thought: we do this all the time, we think of ourselves or we see ourselves as being guilty and needing to be judged, wanting mercy and grace, but knowing what we did we don’t deserve the goodness of God on our behalf, on and on the different forms of judgement and guilt are thrown our way and if we don’t realize that jesus was judged guilty on our behalf we will continue to look at our selves through the eyes of guilt

Thought: So the mirrors were destroyed and made into something that cleans and God wants us to know that because of what he did instead of looking at ourselves through the eyes guilt, by Jesus guilt and sacrifice we can now be clean

Thought: the water represents the spirit and life

Thought: some say the inner layer represents jesus life on earth and when he was here he let people see parts of him that were God, Gold meaning divinity, where as the second layer of goats hair

Thought: all this means is they dont know exactly what it is, but it was what protected everything else

If we look at the coverings in order we may see a pattern

2nd layer down, dyed red rams skin, this speaks to jesus shedding of blood, notice its the skin not the hair as in layer 3

3rd layer, goats hair, with bronze clasps, my opinion, speaks to jesus physical body, the outer most part of who he was took the judgement

4th inner layer, speaks to his beauty and divinity for those who are a part of the body of christ

Thought: wood represents humanity, gold represents divinity, jesus was the man that was 100% God and man
