Being a living sacrifice for God means subjection to ruling authorities. Subjection is a position of the heart. Humble yourself under the authority of the government will result in proper obedience to it. We are called to be subject because all authorities and governments have been instituted by God. Therefore, whoever resists authority or acts in opposition to their government opposes what God has appointed.
